Liked: This hostel is a gem in Takoma, even though its a bit of a way out of DC itself it is right over the road from a Metro stop, which is what you will probably be using as your main transport. Its a 4 level mansion house with gorgeous original features, including balconies over the back yard which are perfect for chilling out after a hard day sight seeing. The social side of things look like they would be great, however it was pretty quiet when we were there. There were only two problems as far as we were concerned, firstly its a smoking hostel so everything smells of smoke and if you're on the second floor you can smell people smoking downstairs while you are in bed. Secondly there are only 3 bathrooms, so when full I would imagine its a bit of a battle to get in the shower in the morning. Other than that the place was great and had a lovely hippy feel to the place.

Liked: We liked everything there! The hostel is realy nice, a very cute house. We were walking past the house and I thought, wow, that house would be cool as a hostel, and well, it was... :) It is not quite downtown, but that isn't a problem because the metro station is right there and you are in downtown in no time! The people where very nice too. Everything was great!

Liked: This is a Great Hostel....shared rooms and everything else,,, but really complete acomodations and very good organized by the staff. More than recomended...It is not in the middle of DC,,, more like outside town,,,, but the subway is almost at the door of the hostel and leaves you perfectly where you need to go,,, so its almost the same,,, and its nice where its located..Good Staff,,,, fun place to go!!!

Liked: Its proximity to the Takoma Park Metro stop was excellent. The organic food co-op nearby is also very nice. Fridges to store food/drinks were a plus.

Liked: I loved it! The staff was so nice and super friendly. They made it easy to be comfortable there. The place is very homey and comfortable it was hard not to love it. It's super close to the metro which is wonderful after a long day of site seeing. It was just so lovely I didn't want to leave.

Liked: The facilites are really good with loads available to guests. Also it has a very homily feel with all the staff making you feel welcome. It is also a place to get to know people and have fun.
