 really nice and chilled out atmosphere. free interenet and good kitchen facilities. not in the heart of Washington but right near a subway (you can literally see it from the window)

This Hostel is great. Takoma station right across the street. Everything you need within walking distance. 15 mins to National Mall. Want to party? You're in the right place. Want to go to bed early? This is the right place. Staff is great! Thank you guys, I'll be back!

They have a very friendly and funny staff, and they sometimes held a party in the backyard or basement. They also have free internet and phone. I had my best experience in hostel during my stay in US. Anyway, it was a fantastic hostel by all mean.

Location, Location, Location, just close enough to a train but far away enough from the central city tension. Chill pad and landing spot to take in the Smithsonians; I did 12 in 3 days.

great place to meet people, awesome atmosphere. We've travelled all over the world, and this is undoubtably the best hostel we've stayed in. the games room in the basement is awesome too - free pool nd table football, oh and free internet too!!

if you want to see DC or if you want to party its the place, i was ment to be here just 4 days and now its 8, it has the best people and the best transport i have seen the party is the best but even if you dont want to party its a cool place to hang, i have been travelling the USA for the last 10 weeks and have not found a party like it yet, come in to town and hang with the best that DC has to offer baby!

It conveyed a feeling of the '68s to an old 68er, and I think it balanced the caos with efficiency. Back then I'd taken the steep stairs in stride, now at 64 I had to climb them ;-)))
I have rated "Fun place to meet people and party" even if it was not what I was there for. To those who made the hostel their home, it seemed to be one ongoing party. Still it subsided in time for me to get my sleep.

What I like the most about this hostel is that the staff are really friendly, and they are very nice. They try to help you as much and soon as they can to make your stay more pleasant. The atmosphere is good, in a sense, down-to-earth, it is a good place to meet new people from different cultures. You will not be disappointed.
