Not located near the man attractions. Average hostel but good facilities including big screen tvs and free internet terminal.

the place itself is lovely, is a bit far away from citycenter, but is located just in front of a subway station, so is very handy

free internet! although it seems like a really hippy place at first after a while its really nice that they've made it a homey atmostphere instead of just focusing on getting your money. staff are very friendly and help you out.

The atmosphere- you get to meet all kinds of people. from all corners of the world and it's all like one big, funky, crazy party.
Security depends entirely on the people you live with and there are no keys even for the rooms, but there are lockers in the basement; but for anyone worried about that- I had a $2000 laptop under my pillow for a whole day, and at the end of the day, it was still there.
Honestly, craziest place I have ever been - simply fantastic

What can i say other than if you come to DC you have to stay here it is just brilliant. The staff, the owners, the locals, the atmosphere, the big common room in the cellar, the hostel is beautiful and funky, the decor the big back yard with loungers and hammocks, the metro station opposite which is ten mins into the city, the smalltown feel to Takoma. What more can i say? This is what hostels should be like

It's location, a 1 minute walk from the metro, a 24 hour convience store, an ATM and decent inexpensive eating options. Also I like that the staff is frieldly. It's definately a partying hostel so if you need to sleep, bring your ear plugs and eye masks!

cable tv, it's a little way out from the city (although you can quickly get there by public transport) so it's in a nice area and encourages people to stay at the hostel to hang out at nighttime. the staff are friendly (sometimes maybe a little too friendly...) but they really keep the partying going and it's fun!! Really good value for money, they also have a back yard with a hammock and a balcony to hang out on.

I liked the atmosphere - I almost felt like at home. The place was small and safe, open for the travelers=customers (acess to the kitchen and free internet). Everyone I met there was very friendly, I enjoyed the movie evening and spending time in the beautiful backyard.
