 everything, exept the fact that the day of leaving we have to pay to put our luggages in the basement... it should be a free service !!!

It´s in a good neighbourhood and the breakfast for 2 bucks is okay. It´s clean!

Amazing bathrooms, not just clean, but big showers, a shelf to put your shampoo!
A lift! a 10 minute walk from the white house and the smithsonian (museums)! Huge clean kitchen with cutlery and huge eating area and lounge on the 2nd floor!

I have never stayed in a hostel in America and I really was not sure what to expect. HI Hostel in DC far exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a women's 4-bed room. The room had a lock just like a hotel which made me feel safe. The showers had hot water EVERYTIME and fantastic water pressure (which is very important to me).

They have organised socials, i.e. a pub crawl which is a great opportunity and easy way to meet people, something I find hard to do. This hostel doesnt compare to previous ones I've stayed in though. Checking in took ages, whenever the phone rang, the staff dealt with that. May have had to wait for about 3 calls to be dealt whilst I waited and a large queue built up. Elevator is also bad, I had to carry 3 bags up 6 floors after giving up waiting for it.

Little bit far from the Mall but very friendly atmosphere and lots of free events you can join (guided tours, festivals etc.). Ideal place especially for young travellers!
