Located at the base of Taos Mountain between the world-famous Taos Ski Valley and the enchanting town of Taos in the charming mountain side village of Arroyo Seco!

The Abominable Snowmansion is an outdoor-oriented facility featuring spectacular views of New Mexico sunsets, occasional evening coyote choruses and contact with a small traditional Spanish community.

We are a 60-year-old classic adobe lodge with large dorm rooms, spacious private rooms with private baths and private rooms with shared baths. Our campground features authentic tipi's, rustic cabins and a grassy lawn to pitch your own tent. All accommodations include kitchen, shower and toilet facilities.

Right across from the hostel is the Taos Indian Pueblo's sacred land. A short drive away is the famous Taos Ski Valley and Carson National Forest. Soak in natural hot springs, hike, backpack, horseback ride, challenge the whitewater of the Rio Grande, go on a llama trek, mountain bike Ski and Snowboard Rental, fly-fish the many rivers and streams or visit the 800-year-old adobe village at Taos Pueblo.

Be sure to stop by the famous Taos artist colony and the 80 art galleries in the area. Most importantly don't forget to eat plenty of New Mexico green chile!
