Customer reviewWhen I arrived at City Hostel I thought I was in the wrong place. It was soooo nice, and a hostel! I couldn't believe it! Although most places I've stayed on other trips have usually been clean, the staff helpful and the facilities adequate, City Hostel has taken budget accommodation to another level. The place was immaculate, and not only that but beautifully decorated, giving it real character (but not in a scruffy bo-ho kind of way), and the four or five staff members I encountered in my two days there were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. The room was large and bright, and while in the hands of other owners it might've been used as a six- or eight-person room, here there were just two bunks and plenty of space. The kitchens situated on each floor were fully equipped, homely, and clean, and the bathrooms were suitably sparse, stocked with toilet paper (not always the case in other places) and spotless. There was breakfast available and free Internet access across from a cozy common room full of books and DVDs. The location is ideal for walking to Seattle Center, Pike Place Market and Downtown, and a pebble's throw from a bunch of restaurants and bars. I know I sound like I work for the City Hostel, but I honestly can't fault this place! For $30 a night (sharing a four bed room) it was beyond what I expected, and though I never usually review anywhere I stay I just wanted everyone to know that this place is a gem, and I will definitely be going back there next time I'm in town! |

Customer reviewLoved the location...the bus made it easy to get anywhere! And the view was outstanding. Was a quite little place that I would recommend staying at I just didn't like the bottom floor with rooms...the bathroom was dirty. Also the hostel staff (not the owners) didn't provide any info about the city and when you asked them they didn't know! But the owners were so helpful and the main area/breaky was great! |

Mark JamiesonIf you like a home from home feel in a hostel this is the place for you. Very safe, friendly and helpful. The free Tandem bikes and movie theatre downstaris are awesome. A fair distance from the action though. |
