Liked: Free dinner was a plus. There were plenty of good social activities and the hostel is located in practical location.

Disliked: The breakfast was probably the worst I've had at a hostel in the States. The wifi never worked and so I had to go to Starbucks across the road just to check my emails.

Liked: I love Green Tortoise hostels in general. The activities, the supportive staff, it really makes for the best hostel experience one might hope for.

Disliked: Bathroom floors seemed a little scummy, but that was probably the tile.

Liked: close to pike's market, glad to have privacy shades and a light on my bunk, plenty of bathrooms (so no waiting!) and very friendly staff.

Disliked: The breakfast was alright (pancakes and eggs to cook yourself!) but the fruit they had out was sad-looking.

Liked: Breakfast included. Dinner 3 x a week. Top bunks appeared easily accessible. Curtains around bunks for privacy. Sink in room. Lockable space under bunk for bags so not cluttering the room. Vending machines were cheap. Own power points and lights. Bathrooms had sink toilet and shower in one. Good kitchen- don't have to wash dishes as is a dishwasher- altho always per wash ur crockery and cutlery!

Disliked: I was on a bottom bunk the was on the door so everytime someone came in or out of the room I was woken up. Some bags may struggle to fit in lockers. Bathrooms were generally really clean however lacked adequate ventilation so very humid. In busier periods there may not be enough bathrooms.

Liked: I liked the free breakfast and the free dinners. They also had free coffee/tea/hot chocolate available all day. Also had a massive kitchen so you could make your own food if necessary. They also had nice bathrooms - big single person size bathrooms, meaning no awkward moments with strangers as you get undressed. There was a lot on offer to do, and the hostel is ideally located - close to everything! The rooms are great too as each bed has its own curtains, lamp, plugs and fan, which is great in this hostel environment as it was easy to keep to yourself and get rest.

Disliked: The top bunks were extremely high and sometimes quite a challenge to get up and down. The staff were good, but not overly enthusiastic, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the type of traveler you are. I found some of them to have a "too cool for school" vibe.

Liked: The free breakfast and dinners were great! Some of the staff were friendly, but not all. The location is great, right by the market. The bathrooms were really clean and you never had to wait for one. The curtains around the beds were also really a great idea.

Disliked: It smelt like feet, and it was a bit difficult to climb up to the top bunk.

Liked: Obviously the location is great. The curtains for privacy, the individual fans, the huge lockers, the excellent breakfast, the general service.

Disliked: A minor quibble could be the relative sparsity of toilets/bathrooms on each floor. While they are lovely combined rooms, there's only 4. That could be an issue some mornings.
