Disliked: Noisy, accommodation not what I expected when booked (booked for a smaller dorm). Not enough breakfast.

Liked: 2 blocks from beach

Disliked: 45 dollar for a 12 people dirty dorm with dirty linen, no space to put luggage as there is literally only 2 square meter floor space for 12 people! Saw bugs on my bed. Mould on wall and ceiling. Stayed at hood hotels for that price!!

Liked: nothing, but it was the only offer in Santa Barbara for single traveller in hostelbookers.com - you should try to get at least one more hostel in that place

Disliked: Did not like it: very noisy due to AMTRAK Station directly besides, expensive for 12 bed room, old linen with bad smell,...not my cup of tea at all.

Liked: Location, location, friendly staff, the staff where very very helpful.

Disliked: No true dislikes, just the little things off set to the price

Liked: I had a private room which was nice. I had a feeling room 9 was the nicest one there. I did pay $100 a night for it .

Disliked: Shame the showers and toilets were gross but you take that when its the third of a price of a hotel.

Liked: Easy to access spot just across the train tracks. Close to the beach and the main drag for this who wish to stagger home at all hours!

Disliked: Beds are rickety old metal bunk beds- fine if you're only paying $20 a night, but at $42, it's definitely not great. Breakfast is only toast and spreads with coffee and tea - again, fine if you're only paying $20 a night, but when the price is so high, you expect something pretty spectacular to justify it.

Liked: The hostel is very clean and good decorated, it's a nice place to stay

Disliked: The rooms are small and with a lot of beds, so you don't have room to put all your stuff

Liked: Great dorm mates. Fantastic location - 5 mins from the beach, pretty much on state street for all the bars and restaurants, about 20 minutes to the Greyhound and opposite the Amtrak station (you can see it as soon as you get off the train!)

Disliked: If you are a light sleeper take earplugs as you are right next to the railroad so you will hear the trains, but other than that the location is amazing. Shower curtains instead of doors on the toilets but the showers were really hot and clean.

Liked: The staff was really helpful, and it was nice of them to arrange a meeting so that the guests could get toghether. The location was nice.

Disliked: It was too expensive, especially considered the restroom facilities. Placing toilet behind a curtain was not a good idea.

Disliked: private room: door nearly didn't open, poor door lock. lights were defect and/or flickering. the only working lamp was a tiny floor lamp with coloured light. the only way to access the bathroom was over a dark yard outside. some toilet doors weren't doors but curtains. the breakfast: served in an unappetizing way. coffee was poor. dishes had to be cleaned by yourself. the staff: very unflexible, they didn't want to accept our complaint, the only offer was a discount of ten dollars or refund - but surely it was too late to search another accommodation.

Liked: too many beds (6 bunk beds/12 people) in a very small room, there is barely not space but the beds, luggages are everythere, and the most terrible thing is that the room was smelly

Liked: Good location, clean enough.

Disliked: Each bunkbed was pushed into an alcove, which is good for privacy but this blocked all access to the bunks ladders, so top bunkers had to stand on the mattress of the lower bunk and try to climb up, not nice if your trying to sleep on the bottom bunk, or had a few drinks and trying to get to bed on the top. The tumble dryers didn't work and working internet was sporadic at best.
