Liked: Note: We didn't stay at the Adelaide that we had booked... they put us in a sister hotel up the block called the Dakota Hotel. Nice rooms and perfect location. It was easy access to all of the main public transportation and great restaurants within a block radius.

Disliked: It's very noisy. The windows in our room did not prevent or reduce any of the street noise, so it can be difficult to sleep without ear plugs.

Liked: It's a really fantastic place! Great location, nice, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, fine breakfast. Lots of cool people to meet and talk to, too, among the guests! We were in SF only for the week-end but I'll definitely come back to this hostel next time. I wish I could have stayed longer and joined one of their activities.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This is a great hostel! It has the whole package; it's central, easy to find, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It was a good hostel for meeting people and provided everything that is expected from a good hostel including lockers to store valuables.

Liked: This place is fantastic. It's in a great location not far from Union Square so most of the city is in walking distance with great transport links if you don't want to walk. You can get to the Bridge in about an hour and a half, the Alcatraz pier in just over half an hour and the coast in 2 hours by foot. The hostel is a lovely place with a very well equpped kitchen with plenty of storage space for groceries, a nice lounge area with huge sofas and cushions, a little computer area with free access to computers and wifi, good sized bedrooms and plenty of showers and toilets. The space is spotlessly clean and the staff are great, really friendly and helpfu and happy to give you advice on the city and trips and toursl. The best thing about this hostel though is the free breakfast. They offer porridge with apples and raisins, bagels and different breads with a whole range of jams, marmalade, nutella and peanut butter. If you leave there in the morning still hungry then you are doing something really wrong. The free tea on offer all day is also great, along with free washing powder when you do laundry. The Adelaide is by far one of the best hostels we have stayed in on our trip.

Liked: This was a fantastic hostel!!!! All three of us enjoyed our stay and will do so again, every time we are in San Francisco!!! I liked the food they prepared for us. I liked the bunks and that we all were able to stay together in the same dorm. It had a great location and it was a peaceful atmosphere. It wasn't a crazy party atmosphere like so many hostels, it was more like a very large bed and breakfast. I will recommend it highly to all I know.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing. I loved it thouroughly.

Disliked: maybe more then just toast & oatmeal for breakfast. Of course there was coffee and fruit, but maybe some eggs/omlets would have been nice

Liked: Location was great and the staff was nice and friendly. You easily felt included and taken care of. Especially Josh from the reception was making my stay great.

Liked: I loved meeting people from all walks of life, and I loved The Adelaide's location in the Theatre District and its close vicinity to all kinds of conveniences.

Disliked: I loved everything. I will be back!

Liked: It's quiet at night in the rooms (not same floor as common spaces). Nice atmosphere, cool lounge, and the cheap dinner ever night is a good occasion to meet people. It's clean, lockers and a sink in the room. Internet everywhere and plenty of public computers. Nutella for breakfast ! What more to ask ???

Disliked: If you're not amongst the first ones for shower, you may have only cold water, or need to wait 20 minutes with water running to get some mildly warm water. So : wake up early ! The kitchen is used by the staff to prepare things for night dinner or breakfast, so impossible to cook anything during this time : schedule to not meet with their schedule ..

Liked: I only booked 2 nights here and ended up staying 4!! It is very clean, have fun activities on each night. They also do a pretty good and healthy dinner there for only $6. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilites are great, nice big kitchen and common room. It is not a party hostel but it is still very social and great for meeting people, especially if you participate in the activity nights. I would recommend this to anyone.

Disliked: Checkout at 10am too early!! but other than that dislike NOTHING.

Liked: Its location is perfect. From there, you can go anywhere. They explained where attractions where, offered tours (and were not too pushy on selling them) and good discount on bike rental and shuttle to airport. Breakfast is included and it's great. Variety of bagels, toasts, oatmeal, fruits, coffee, tea. You can serve yourself as much as you want.

Disliked: Some of the staff could definitely offer a better service to clients. Gave my friend wrong info on shuttle from the airport to hostel. You better call then directly. The shuttle is called "airport express" and it's only 10$/pers to the hostel. Other staff were real nice, it depends on who you asked for help. Also, the shower flow in our room was a little too low...

Liked: My boyfriend and I stayed at the Adelaide Hostel in one of their private rooms with an en-suite. The room was nice - it was clean, a decent size and definitely value for money. An added plus was that the room was separated from the corridor by an extra door, with the bathroom inbetween, which mean once both door were closed we couldn't hear anything from the rest of the hostel. The hostel had great activites on every night, from free wine & cheese, to pub crawls and they also cooked dinner for $8 if you wanted to join! We never got round to having the breakfast but apparently it's great. Also, free WIFI and plenty of computers to borrow. We were really pleased with our stay - great location, nice and clean, friendly staff - pretty much everything you'd expect from a good hostel!

Liked: the breakfast was really great and the kitchen is really clean and we could sit properly while eating

Disliked: The trash was not emptied and the towels was $1, but on hostelbookers it says they are free. Parking in San Francisco is really difficult they should mention that on the website.

Liked: Its a good spot to hang out ay and to meet other travelers.

Disliked: We had to wait for six hours until we could check in cuz they hadnt cleaned the rooms. The bed were the squeeqiest beds Ive ever slept in and it woke me up whenever I would move.

Liked: Friendly atmosphere, knowledgable staff Well deisgned bunk beds with luggage drawers.curtains and with individual llights and wall plugs. Good, free breakfast Lots of restrooms with showers so you rarely have to wait
