Adelaide Hostel and Hotel

The Adelaide Hostel and Hotel San Francisco is highly recommended by travel guides like Lonely Planet, Lets Go USA, Guide du Routard and National Geographic travel magazine as the best hostel in San Francisco.

We have full private rooms, four bed dorm, six bed dorm and ten bed dorm style rooms available.
We also have single rooms, double rooms, twin privates, three people and four person private rooms available. All with private bathrooms.
Groups looking for a booking of more than ten persons are welcome but you should contact Gerard at the Adelaide hostel by e-mail to check on availability and group rates.
All rooms are cleaned daily by our professional full time staff. Linens and sheets are provided.
We have free internet computers, for all our guests to use. If you have your own laptop, we also have free wireless access to the internet.

The Adelaide has an excellent downtown location, only one block to Union Square (The center of San Francisco in the Theater district and in the middle of San Francisco’s main shopping and theater districts. We are close to all major tourist attractions like Alcatraz prison, Union Square, the famous San Francisco Cable Cars, Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Castro Street and of course the famous Haight Ashbury district.

All of these attractions are only a short walk or bus ride from the Adelaide Hostel.

If you are coming to San Francisco for a conference or convention we are only a one minute walk to the Hilton convention center and we are a five minute walk to the Moscone Convention Center.

Our international staff will help you with directions when you arrive.

The Adelaide building is modeled after the European style pensionne hotels which are popular in many European cities, with a guest lobby where you can read or just relax and meet new friends.

The Adelaide has the best Hostel kitchen in San Francisco We have a full kitchen with two stoves, two large ovens, three microwaves dishwasher and large fridges to store your food and all the dishes pots and pans and kitchen utensils you will ever need. Save money and prepare your own meals in our great kitchen.

You no longer have to miss your favorite sports team or home news when you travel with our multiple Satellite Televisions we have most of the world news and sport TV stations.

We have a safe to store your valuables (Free).
We also have a secure area to store your luggage on the day you are leaving (so you can enjoy your last day in San Francisco and come back to pick up your luggage which is also free at the Adelaide Hostel.

Accommodation Information

The Adelaide Hostel has both dorm rooms and full private rooms; we have four bed, six bed and ten bed dorm rooms. Our private rooms are better than most hotel rooms with private bathrooms, TV fridge microwave and of course free wi-fi for laptop computer users.
Free breakfast is included for all guests.
We also have free internet stations for guests who need internet access.
Our kitchen and dining room is open 24 hours a day for guests who wish to prepare their own meals.
