Liked: The price is hard to beat. Guests were very friendly. Newly renovated commons area and working appliances were great.

Disliked: The location is a little bit sketchy if you are not used to being in lower scale areas of town. The front desk staff were not very informative or knowledgabe and was not helpful.

Liked: it was available, for reason.

Disliked: Worst hostel i have ever stayed at. The front desk was unhelpful and I was unable to cancel y reservation within the 24 hour window. I was booked for a private and I was roomed with 4 other people. There was black mold in the bathroom and the blankets were dirty. The front desk was rude as well.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Everything. We stayed the 6 nights but were very close to finding somewhere else to stay, unfortunately we had to stay because we couldn't get a refund or find anywhere else. I would recommend not to stay in this area, pay a little more and stay closer to Chinatown, Fishermans Wharf. I have been to San Fran twice and have seen the good and bad now of this city, if you want to enjoy San Fran then don't stay here.

Liked: no curfew, code on door went some way in making us feel safe in a very sketchy area of town!

Disliked: Horrible and unsafe location, dirty and outdated decor. they said in their hostel information that it was newly renovated, but the carpet is old, dirty and musty, the rooms weren't cleaned before we got there because there were bits of someone's luggage from before our arrival left in our private room! The bathrooms were gross, there was puke all over the one on our level!!!

Liked: Location was pretty sweet, it was not as dirty as I was expecting given these reviews. Kitchen was way kick ass, and so was the patio on the roof. Great for hanging out and has a sweet view of the city.

Disliked: Not allowed to have guests apparently, but that didn't stop us! Not much to complain about though

Liked: The code to get into the hostel- quite secure.

Disliked: The parking was an issue, as you had to pay to park and it was a few blocks away. The one the hostel recommended was $35 for 12 hours.

Liked: Toilet with shower in every layer, the map in the desk is really handy and useful, nice kitchen and free internet in lobby! Only two blocks to main bus stops!

Disliked: Supermarket is a little far from hostel, but else are good.

Disliked: -only one person really work at the reception and try to fix the mistakes of all the others -internet connection is a disaster, only one pc available and the wifi is very unstable -the bathroom is always flood -no living-room -very expensive

Liked: This hostel is horrible. First, I have to go to third floor with my heavy suit case w/o elevator. Second, my room was very narrow and unclean (The guys who shared with same room messed their stuff. I almost hurt my foot because of thier mess...)

Disliked: All of it. Especially price. They charged me about 25 dollars per night but it is no worth and there are lots ofgood hostels which are cheaper than here but comfortable

Liked: The hostel had a really good kitchen so if traveling on a budget you could cook for yourself. Also, it was located fairly near the civic centre

Disliked: The location is down a back street which was not the nicest of places to walk down at night - there were a fair few 'odd' people. Also, the room was dirty when we arrived and there was a constant queue for the bathroom.

Liked: i think now and then the atmosphere was good, but that depends on what kind of travelers you are put with. i do not have high or low standards of hostels, im alright with being thrown into anything, and as a first time hostel user, i felt the stay had no extreme wrong events to it. i did get to extend my stay which was nice from the guys running the hostel. i would say its worth the money but it is kind of pushing it if other hostels are a little cheaper or a bit more expensive and have much better services.

Disliked: they shoud hold breakfasts because it saves alot of money, i felt my things werent that secure even though they didnt get stolen, and there is only one computer which has a slow internet. often the internet would stop working and i kept having to go to the apple store down the road. you couldnt use the computer for long, because you would feel obliged to let someone else use it. there are not any hostel programs put together for travelers to get together and do something. usually hostels offer this.

Liked: A roof over your head, they are trying to make the facility better; the place has no breakfast where most every other hostel has them, cost for towel and linen? vending machine does not work. no toaster for bread, no common area except the kitchen.
