Liked: Great location with an awesome view of the bay, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Few blocks walk to Fisherman's wharf and the vibrant Union Street bars...

Liked: Right on top of a hill with stunning views of Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. Out of the city centre but easy to get to. Free breakfast at the cafe was awesome, especially the delicious coffee. The dinners were fantastic too: lasagne, bread and salad or soup for only $5 - a bargain in such an expensive city!One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.

Liked: Absolutely beautiful location. You can't find a hotel in San Fran with views this good. Quieter hostel but still a nice place to stay!

Liked: Beautiful location and very accessible to lots of buses, ferries, trams etc. Free breakfast helped to start each day. A real bargain!
