Liked: Fantastic big beds and lockers, great location walking distance from fisherman's wharf and union square, and a super helpful staff. No complaints, will stay there again in the future

Liked: The location is great in a lively neighborhood just across City Lights Bookstore and no Starbucks or shopping mall in eyesight. Both the dorm and the restrooms were clean, and I really liked the user-friendliness of the kitchen (clean and with huge refrigerator and microwave oven) and the internet (no code or signing in). Both of them were easy to access and always available.

Disliked: I really don't have any complaints. After I checked out, I was allowed to store my luggage, use the kitchen and eat my lunch in the dining room, and visit the guest restroom where luxurious hand lotion were at your disposal. I'll return as soon as possible.

Liked: Everything you need from a hostel, you'll get from here.

Disliked: Not for the faint of hearted; located at the red light district and the place itself can be a bit wild sometimes. I didn't mind it, but some might.

Liked: Excellent place and atmosphere. Staff very friendly! Best hostel I have ever been.

Liked: The free breakfast and dinners were great. One of the staff was friendly, the other was not.

Disliked: There weren't enough bathrooms and you always had to wait in line in the mornings. The music was also too loud in the dining room a lot of the time.

Liked: Great facilities- "ballroom" to hang out in, full kitchen, free meals and fun activities.

Disliked: The staff wouldn't really help you find things to do in SF- they had a few tours they were promoting but wouldn't recommend anything else. Not that it's difficult to find things to do in SF...

Liked: An amazing hostel. It's close to transport and the super tourist activities. The free breakfast and dinner are wonderful and if you do not fancy what is on offer at the hostel there is an abundance of great places to eat a few minutes walk. The hostel hosts activities every night for people to network and participate in. One of the best hostels I have stayed in by far.

Disliked: Can be a bit noisy for the street, free ear plugs on offer. Having said that I did not require them and slept fine through the nights.

Liked: great location to see all of the city, free breakfast was good and I liked the free dinners which they offer every couple of nights. Dylan's city and muir woods tour they suggested was great! I would defiantatly recommend doing that as soon as you arrive! The bathrooms are clean and the laundry was cheap. Oh and the wi-fi always worked. It was a great hostel!

Disliked: Would have been good if they had a tv room :)

Liked: There was a lot on offer I didn't get a chance to make the most of everything. It would be a nice place to stay longer term. The staff were a mixed bag, some were really lovely others were rude.

Disliked: If you don't like stairs avoid this place. The wireless internet didn't work in the rooms and there wasn't enough showers.

Liked: Great common 'ballroom'. Nice atmosphere. Nice breakfast as well .

Disliked: showers and toilets are combined. Sometimes you may have to wait to use the toilet, though that rarely happens.

Liked: Lots of group activities. Excellent breakfast. Great location!!

Disliked: This location is pretty loud throughout the night. The bunk beds in the room that I stayed in did not have privacy curtains.

Liked: Stay here, you have to. Warm atmosphere, like a big family, close to all things you wanna see, or else close to bus and metrostops. free dinner ( really good vegetarian food) and free breakfast, perfect. you have free wifi in all hostelspaces, commonroom as well as rooms. i travel by myself and it was so easy meeting people here, everyone comes here with a good attitude. i would recommend this to all my friends back home.
