Liked: Hostel was one of the better one's I have stayed in. Location was pretty great right in the city in what felt like a really safe area. Hostel had lots of activities going on & great common areas.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: good hot water, free wifi(real broadband)

Disliked: Room is limited almost everywhere, but it's ok for me. Some of the staff are not very friendly. The free breakfast is a joke, cereal is provided but milk.

Liked: I feel like the pictures on the website must be from another hostel... still this place has a lot perks that they don't advertise (Wednesday comedy night and the city tours are free!) so it's okay.

Liked: Loved the walking tour. Brendan was great -definitely a really good thing to do at the start of your stay in SF. Beds & pillows were fine and rooms were clean. Individual lights and electricity outlets were convenient. Shower in ensuite was pretty good too. I read that lovation was 88% -it's only 3 blocks down the road and you're at Union Sq -perfect!

Liked: Pool table. Location. Drinking allowed downstairs so good atmosphere. Lots of people. Music playing in public areas. Beds had light, power point, ledge and head areas sectioned off. Sink in room. Breakfast was okay. Activities organized. Free alcohol on certain nights.

Disliked: No need for a cold tap- hot tap took about 10 mins to get hot. Water pressure was shocking. Can't sit on bottom bunks as your head hits the top bunk. Some rooms have street noise (sirens). Only a handful of complete bathrooms, most showers and toilets were in separate rooms to sinks (annoying). Kitchen closed 10:30-12 midday so after breakfast can't use sinks. Breakfast wasn't ready at 6:30 the day we went down that early for a tour- nothing was out to eat yet. Overall good hostel tho- and San Fran is awesome

Liked: location was great, beds were proper beds with real sheets and blankets and super comfortable, excellent staff and fun events :)

Disliked: they cancelled the free morning tour with no notice - they didnt tell me i had t sign up for advance but when i went down in the mornign to ask about it they had told me it was canceled because they need 5 people - while i was asking there were already three other people there asking the same thing...

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is great (pancakes, oatmeal, toasted muffins, coffee/tea, orange juice). Great laundry, kitchen and internet facilities and the rooms are very clean. Hard to fault!

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Great positive signage about what to do or not to do!

Disliked: There was nothing to dislike. The building is old but the rooms and batrooms have been renovated and are fresh and clean.

Liked: Great hostel. Very central downtown location which is great for getting to just about anywhere in SF. It can be a little noisy at night though. My ensuite dorm was very clean. The bunks have a built in shelf with plug socket and light. The lockers also have power sockets in them which is very useful for charging laptops when they are locked away. The communal area is great with pool table and plenty of seating. Great if you're in a group or want to just chill out and be left alone. Staff are very very helpful.

Disliked: There isn't much to dislike about this place. It can be noisy at night but that's the trade off for being so central.

Liked: Very nice common room area ideal for lone travellers and groups. Plenty of activities that the hostel arranges in the evening and great location to hop on public transport or get a bike. Beds were pretty comfortable too and like the added feature or the plugs and the lamp.

Disliked: I had a laptop so this didn't affect me as much but if you needed the internet and didnt have a laptop there was a charge.

Liked: I love the set up with the bunk beds, lights, and outlets. It's a super functional way to stay in a room with 3 different girls doing their own thing. The staff was helpful and courteous.

Disliked: I'm used to hostel's abroad, so I was a bit surprised by needing to purchase a padlock. I was happy to find that the hostel sold them for a reasonable price.

Liked: The washroom were super clean at night (3am). The kitchen is very fonctional. And also the corridors and stairs were maintained. I liked that the wi-fi worked well and fast, plus the location was right, offering a good combination of light-street view and very comfortable couch. I liked the way you guys rolled the sheets and the person who gives monday night bar tour. Yatta!

Disliked: The Breakfast was minimum with only butter and a poor selection of jams to save the already striped naked bagels. There was no discount presented to me for the parking...Very disapointed as i had to deal with freak homeless or gangsters to find a cheap parking stall When i finnaly found the place, i got a Tuesday cleanup contravention...A prepared parking card should be dispenced as soon as registry is being informed.
