Liked: it was 2 blocks from the beach and it was in a prime spot in ocean beach. A party hostel by all means. Dont go if you want a quite peaceful hostel. It was loud at night and kids partying till 4am. Was not my favorite but they do give you a bottle of sparkling wine when you check in.

Liked: JUST GREAT!!! Cool, crazy, friendly people. Awesome parties and relaxed atmosphere. Free breakfast, dinner at times etc... Hmm, i pretty much liked everything! For anyone open-minded looking for a fun time.

Liked: really good hostel, staff and other guest were easy going and helpful, ocean beach is a little out of town but public transport was so simple was nice to stay in a beachside place and chill out for a bit.

Liked: San Diego's Ocean Beach International Hostel is located in one of the cutest beach towns I've ever been too. Located next to fun bars and popular food, and great locals! I can see this place being a great stay in the summer, with a breeze from the ocean and all... but being that I stayed there at the end of December – getting to my room to find the window was open – the room was pretty much an icebox. The sheets were pretty dingy too. They were white sheets - a long, long time ago. The dorm room we stayed in was equipped with its own sink and shower, which was really nice, however, the faucet to the sink was tricky! The knobs went in all the wrong directions. The staff was mixed between very sweet and obnoxiously rude/dismissive characters. Breakfast was tasty and the chef was a pleasant riot :)

Liked: awesome hostel, definately stay here, really chill place, easy to meet ppl, staff are so nice and friendly, free breakfast, eggs, pancakes ect, yum, free dinners and free bbq bonfires with smores, close to all transport, easy to get to mexico or zoo ect, lots of cool things to do like surfing lessons. movie nights and guitar hero rock offs. loved it, will definately be back again. best hostel ever.

Liked: its the perfect hostel in the perfect place. the best ellection you can do if you come to san diego. you can smell the pacific ocean from your bed. and the street where is the hostel is very nice, and people are crazy!

Liked: the people r very nice that stay there. but the rooms r small and dirty. the location is not very good . the bus is coming only once an hour to go downtown. the hostel is very near the ocean, so if u plan to make only a " beachvacation" it is nice. but i don't recommend to go san diego for young people. i went after san diego 2 days to la...that's much nicer there.

Liked: Pretty good value. I had a free shuttle from the airport and pancakes for breakfast the next morning. Not sure that they made any money off of me....

Liked: the free champers on easter sunday, the cheap but very decent mountain bikes that got us from ocean beach to mission bay, via pacific beach.
