Liked: They organise a lot of evening events so good for social side and the free dinners are excellent as are the breakfasts. Only negative was my room was right by the street and the window was jammed open so it was incredibly noisey with people coming and going, traffic and noise from the bars nearby. Also the supposdly "new" bunk beds are anything but. The first one I slept in was falling apart and was so wobbly it could have made you sea sick!!!

Liked: Definitely one of the cheapest places to stay in San Diego, and well located right in the Gaslamp Quarter. The rooms are a bit dated and could be cleaner, but its good value for what you pay. The free meals and entertainment are really good!

Liked: GREAT place to stay! 1 of if not my favourite place whilst travelling 5 months! Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Free washing powder, Free evening dinner 1 night and brilliant location! Stay Here!!!!!!!

Liked: first hostel I've been to in california where the staff is really friendly and the promised free meals are fantastic, not just budget sh**

Liked: Fun, casual atmosphere. Young good looking staff . They offer a lot of activities such as baseball, pub crawls etc. Offer free waffles in the morning yummy.

Liked: Although my friends and I arrived at the hostel very early in the morning (around 4 am), we could move into our room instantaneously and just crash there without any additional charges. Lots of young people there, cool activities for everybody to join at every night of the week. The staff are from all over and very helpful, in case there are problems or questions.

Liked: Stayed here in mid-April and would highly recommend. Staff & guests were very friendly and there were lots of activities. Free dinner one night! Pub crawl the next, etc. Hostel seemed fairly full, but my room had only 2 of the 4 beds full. We had windows open at night, so there was a good deal of street noise, but it didn't really disrupt my sleep. Located close to Gaslamp and easy to get buses to other parts of city.
