Liked: cool people, character, free bagels, awesome neighborhood

Disliked: little privacy, with 8 people in the room and the no light policy after 10pm. neighborhood was chil and very well representative of portland, but getting to other parts of the city, specially downtown could be troublesome with buses don't following the schedule..

Liked: Eco-friendly.

Disliked: Dirty. Showers are cramped and/or don't drain. Bike rental equipment (i.e. lights, helmet) not available. Poor notice on door code changes during stay.

Liked: The homey feeling, the "green" house.

Disliked: The curfew is a little early. It would be great if they could get a liquor license so that we may enjoy a glass of wine at the hostel.

Liked: The place was so refreshing, honest, and a genuinely good time. Although it was not something I required in order to stay there, I really appreciated their commitment to being a "green" building. I met a lot of great people, the staff was great, and the place was great.

Liked: The hostel isn't that centrally located, but it's in a really nice neighbourhood that I personally like better than being downtown, the whole hostel is pretty nice but the dorms are a bit packed, no lockers in them and not a lot of natural light (at least in the ones I was), bathrooms could use some renovation, but aside from that I really liked the place.

Liked: I loved the measures taken by the hostel to ensure that it was environmentally friendly. The location was really good--just a few blocks away from the funky shops on Hawthorne and an easy bus ride to downtown. The bus stop is right in front of the hostel. I also loved the resident cat, Bailey. We would definitely stay here again.

Liked: the staff were wonderful, and the location was fine just one bus from downtown. the washing machine and dryer you can not use intil after 6pm, and was broken when we were there.
