Liked: Cool old house, resident cat is lovely.

Disliked: Unless you are travelling by car, this place is a bit of a chore to get to. Long bus ride from downtown, then a fair hike from the bus stop. If you are travelling with luggage rather than a backpack, forget it.

Liked: If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you. If you're looking for fun it probably isn't.

Disliked: 2am lock out was a bit of a nightmare - my cab driver got lost and I got back ten mintues after 2. Was locked out. Had to spend the night sat on the doorstep. Freezing. Only place this has ever happened to me at.

Liked: In a beautiful park, lovely old house with beautifully furnished common areas. Good info provided, helpful staff. Very well priced.

Disliked: Very difficult location - 40 minutes by bus PLUS a 25 minute walk (which is challenging with a huge heavy backpack). Showers & beds are okay but not amazing quality.

Liked: There is really a good atmosphere and plenty of possiblities to meet other travelers. Good faciliteis to cook and complementery pancakes!

Disliked: It is difficult to reach with public transport.

Liked: Huge ancient house with nice old furniture in the middle of a park. Looks like a four star hotel for the place, living room, kitchen... If I really look for drawbacks, the beds are not that comfortable. But that's all I can see.

Disliked: 1h away from the city center. But it's really worth it to go there!

Liked: I absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful Mansion with kind staff and good facilities.

Disliked: My bed was not so good. (all the beds were the same).

Liked: Staff were nice and it was cheap. Setting amongst trees was nice

Disliked: Bathroom was a breeding ground for athletes foot and the building was in disrepair. Way too far away from anything. I only stayed here as other places were booked out. Was really cold as the blankets they gave were thin - I ended up getting a second one from a spare bed in the middle of the night.

Liked: The atmosphere of the hostel was really exceptional! I felt like at home! The staff is awesome, very helpful, they even wanted to lend me an umbrella, in a rainy day! Strongly recommened it!

Disliked: The only thing that bothered me about the hostel was that it was far from the city centre, around 45 minutes :(

Liked: Nice kitchen in the basement, but there are no supermarkets near anyway. So you won't carry your groceries all around town to get to the hostel and cook there.

Disliked: Almost everything.

Liked: nice location and beautiful house. Very nice for a stay that might even be longer than a few nights.

Disliked: nothing but if u travell alone u should be there before its dark, because its a walk on a not very busy road.

Liked: The staff is just awesome The facilities are really nice Very clean Cheap and value for money

Disliked: Location is very far unfortunately. 45 Mins to downtown by the bus 38 :(

Liked: very homely feel, free pancakes for breakfast, lots of communal space and large clean room.

Disliked: location is a bit out of the way, we were ok as we had a car but its a bit of a walk to the bus stop

Liked: The place on the top of the Hills is really nice...The place is really clean and the staff is really helpfull...You ca get bus fare for cheaper than if you buy it in the bus

Disliked: The curfew is too much... The place is a bit far from the dowtown...

Liked: I loved staying at the Chamounix Mansion. The property was very nice and the staff were very helpful. The other people staying there were very nice and fun to meet.

Disliked: The Mansion is outside of the city, so it inconvenient to get to. It is also not in the best part of the city, so it is not so comfortable walking from the bus stop to the hostel at night. The rooms were also cold, it would have been nice if there were more blankets.

Liked: Very clean and confortable! Very good. It doesn't even look like a hostel.

Disliked: A little bit far from downtown if you don't have a car. But if you do, you're good to go!
