Liked: There were many event every day. When I was in there, there were wine and cheese night. I could enjoying watching movie with others and could relax from my trip.

Disliked: I didn't know that I need to make my bed and clean with fresh linen.

Liked: Excellent staff, great facilities and daily group activities.

Disliked: No complaints. Honestly. I ended up extending my stay.

Liked: One of the nicest out of many hostels I've stayed in, really clean dorm rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and social areas. Found the staff really helpful and friendly, and the events run by the hostel were great to meet people.

Disliked: Further than described from the megabus station, and not ideal after this journey to drag a suitcase up 3 flights of stairs

Liked: Had everything you needed. Clean. Friendly staff, good location.

Disliked: The dorm rooms are just way too big to meet other travelers. The free pasta meal was just pasta and tomato sauce, why bother?

Liked: Here is people's- weigh it up for pro's and con's for everyone. * Hostel is in right location for tourists. Old town section- museums, liberty bell etc.. * Clean and staff friendly. Bathroom's clean. Room is fine. * Right concepts setup for being sociable- ie. wine and cheese nights, pub crawls, pasta night. But, this people dependant whether is socialable! * Secure hostel- changes door codes every day. *Wireless intenet available and a lot of DVD's.! *Breakfast available on the weekend.

Disliked: *The location is long way from Amtrack and bus station (mega bus only stops on 6th street for New York people..) *A bit heavy price- dorm prices- $34.95- $37.75 (weekend). *No breakfast during week. Stay away from the coffee... tough one to drink! *Internet computer exisit- a little bit pricey- $2 for 20 mins. $5 an hour. *lastly, here is a new one for you- you can't change the channel for the tv you have to ask the receptionist to change the channel for you! lol I hope that gives everyone an idea for the pro's and con's for you :)

Liked: It was absolutely clean and in an excellent location. The stuff is extremely nice and helpful. If I come back to Philliy I'll book on Apple hostel!!!

Liked: I loved that I was able to stay in downtown Philadelphia so cheaply, and that I got to hang out with a bunch of great people from all over the world.

Disliked: Not enough 24 hour coffee.

Liked: It's really quiet in the rooms and they have lots of activities planned every night. I met some great people by just hanging out in the lounge. The kitchen is very clean and it's a great place to cook your own food.

Disliked: You have to pay if you want to use one of their computers and I think they could use more plugs in the room.

Liked: The staff were really friendly (except for one guy) and helped me with what to do in Philadelphia with great recommendations. There are also events here every night and I think i would have taken advantage of them if I had stayed longer. The kitchen is well stocked, though I didn't get the free breakfast that was offered - I think you have to wake up quite early to get it.

Disliked: I don't think they change the bed covers between stays because there were hairs on my bed which was a bit unpleasant, so I chose a different bed. The blankets weren't very warm either. There is a strict lights out policy which is good and bad. Good because it means people won't wake you up by turning on the lights, but bad because not every bed had a private lamp, so it was annoying if you wanted to stay up a bit later than 11.

Liked: Location, clean.

Disliked: Not enough power outlets, especially if you sleep in the upper bed (the sockets are located on the wall next to the lower bed...not a very good idea)

Liked: Kind staff, willing to answer every question. The beds are great and the livingroom and kitchen also. And it is in the middle of Philadelphia!

Liked: great location, walking distance to liberty bell and centre and sightseeing tours etc. very clean all throughout, not a spec of dirt or dust anywhere, does the job for short stay, as you would only need 1-2 days in philadelphia anyway. beds really comfy and spacious rooms

Disliked: lacked atmosphere if im honest, not really ideal for single traveller, coming from 2 other hostels prior to this, was very different, always felt awkward in common room as was so quiet, but, wasnt much choice of hostels in this area

Liked: It is amazing that a dormitory for 24 people can be such a wonderful and comfortable stay. Lights are switched off every night by 10 (and cannot be switched on) and there are small bed-lamps and powerpoints for every bed. As it is a relatively small hostel, by staying a few nights you will meet almost everyone and if you're traveling on your own, you won't be for long. Every night there are activities (usually movie+beer) and on weekends they serve free breakfast (milk+cereals). The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of the way to help you with your sightseeing choices and whatever not. The 2 p.m. check-in time is inflexible, so do keep that in mind, though a locker-room is available, free-of-charge, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd definitely stay here again!

Liked: It has everything you need, the common area's look really nice, the kitchen is very good, the staff is incredibly friendly, it is clean.

Disliked: Keycodes for the doors: you have to either remember two 4-digit codes (that change every day) or remember to keep two tiny pieces of paper on you at all times. Also, it's not safe. You can give anyone the codes, while keycards cannot be copied. They leave the lights, music and tv on everywhere in the hostel 24/7, so as you walk the stairs or are in the kitchen there's music playing. For a hostel that talks a lot about being environmentally friendly this is just ridiculous. Also, it means there's no peace and quiet nowhere in the hostel. It wasn't clear to me at the moment of booking that there would be 28 girls in one dorm.. Somehow though, it is completely quiet and dark at night. Does get a bit smelly though.
