Liked: The staff was very helpfull, special thanks goes to the Australian guy who I tought was Chinese (sorry about that). The location is ideal if you want to see plenty of NYC, but it is not a 5 star hotel. But if you are looking for a good location and a clean and safe place to sleep, Chelsea inn is a safe bet. Rooms are basic and seem small, but hey who spends time in a ho(s)tel when you are in New York.The gay club next door makes some noice, but who cares...May seem pricey for a first time visitor, but accomodation in NYC is, unless you want to share room with 5-10 strangers...Me and my fiancé would choose this place over an overpriced Times Square hotel anyday... the neighborhood is New York as its finest.Recommended...

Liked: It was very relaxed, we could come and go very freely.It was ideally placed between 5th and 6th avenue and we were able to walk to most sights of interest.

Liked: It was affordable and central, friendly and laidback, clean and safe. We had wonderful room service too and it was very quiet for such a happening neighbourhood. The breakfast tokens for Susan's place(gorgeous cookies) only sweetened the deal, as well as being seconds away from hot spot gay club Splash. Hard to beat. When we're back in Gotham, we'll be back in Chelsea Inn.

Liked: The location was amazing, the staff really friendly and helpful, We thought the room was nice and clean and you get clean towels and your bed made each day. Didnt bother us that we had to share the bathroom as we never saw our next door neighbour. Needs a bit of renovation but didnt bother us we thought it was great and would definately stay again!! very homely and free breakfast. By the way lock your food away at night as we had a little friend called 'a mouse' that came to visit each night!

Liked: Excellent Location. Clean. Very good value for money. Easy to find. Between 5th and 6th ave. Cleaner everyday to sort out room. Food close by.

Liked: The bathroom was new and rather clean eventhough we had to share it with another room.The hostel was very well located too.The fact that you can pick up a free breakfast at Nana's Treat just near the hostel was good too.
