Liked: Perfect location, friendly staff

Disliked: Internet wasn't working and the front desk was under renovation, but no inconvenience was caused as a result and the staff were apologetic

Liked: location was excellent, comfortable beds, clean rooms, refridgerator in our room, television, friendly staff, breakfast at Nanas Treats was great

Disliked: no elevator, sometimes little too loud in the rooms (bc of the streets)

Liked: Very clean and convenient to get around. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheap hostel. Will stay here again next time I go back to New York

Disliked: The rooms did get a little hot but with the window open it was fine. They advertised a continental breakfast which was only basically a choice of a juice/coffee and a pastry but that wasnt an issue for me as you have a cute little cafe next door.

Disliked: There is some city noise but they provide ear plugs in the rooms so it was no issue

Liked: The loaction is second to none. I could walk to most neighborhoods easily and if not, it was a maximum $10 cab fare. The attention to detail in all aspects - from the interior design and furnishings to the complementary breakfast was amazing and I would highly recommend Chelsea Inn to friends and fellow travellers.

Disliked: The heating was too hot and it was annoying to have to keep using keys to access the shared bathroom.

Liked: Fantastic location, easy walking distance to lots of important sites in NYC, and also the great breakfast food.

Disliked: Nothing, the hostel was what we were looking for.

Liked: The location was great, it was right in the Chelsea district and as with almost anywhere in NYC - EVERYTHING is connected excelently by the subway system as it runs frequentely and all day and night so it was no issue getting around. The room was big, provided A/C and although we shared a bathroom with one other room, our room had a little sink and mirror. Late check out was great.

Disliked: There was no elevator and we were on the forth level of the buidling which made it quite a task carrying heavy luggage up the old and narrow stairs. Again, this place was clean, tidy and secure and if you are like us and plan on spending your days and nights exploring the city and sights not hanging out in your hotel room, then this is all you need. That's what budget hotels are for anyway right?

Liked: Great location... walking distance to Times Sq, great restaurants and facilities around and safe at night.. Staff are friendly, place is cleaned everyday and all in working order.Just note this place has no lifts so many stairs are involved when carrying loads of luggage.

Disliked: The stairs - especially when carry luggage up 3 flights, but good to work of the NYC pizza!

Liked: Location is great, just a few steps from 5th Av. and close to Metro stations. If you just need a place to sleep and take a bath Chelsea Inn is a good option. Do not expect to meet people or relax in a sitting room to do your emails.

Liked: WYSWYG. Adequate-sized room, freshly painted, everything worked, good heat. Breakfast coupons to decent little bakery next door. One block from subway, half a block from bus. Quiet. Excellent value.

Liked: Chelsea Inn is a nice place to stay in Manhattan. It's clean and safe. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Breakfast at Nana's is yummy, especially banana bread and apple turnovers.We would go there again. Thank you!

Liked: The hostel was right in the middle of Manhattan. The breakfast was simple but good and delicious! We shared a bathroom with another doubleroom but we never met. We really like our room and the TV to relax after a day of sightseeing or shopping. I would stay there again anytime.
