Set in two rennovated 19th century townhouses, Chelsea Inn has the feel of an old country home. The guestrooms are generously large for NY and the studios and suites are huge.

Chelsea Inn is a four storey walk-up building (no elevator) which offers a choice of suites and studio rooms, all with private baths, or guestrooms with semi-private bathrooms (shared with one other guestroom). All rooms come with refrigerator, coffee maker and sink. Silverware & plates are available upon request; a happy extra if you are on a tight budget.

Continental breakfast is included in the price and is served by ‘Nana's Treats,’- the charming 'to-go' coffee shop next door. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am and includes freshly baked baked pastries, coffee or tea, juice or fruit. (Note that the white chocolate cranberry scones and the apple turnovers are highly recommended)

The inn is located in Chelsea, one of the city's hottest neighborhoods with an assortment of upscale to bohemian retail stores, restaurants, bars and clubs.

We offer three different types of rooms:
All rooms come with basic cable-TV central heating, air-conditioning and refrigerator.

Our two room suites sleep up to four people (one double bed and two twin beds) and includes a a desk, kitchenette with microwave and a private bathroom.

Our studio rooms are larger than our guestrooms and also have their own bathrooms. These rooms are located on the ground floor and come in twin, double and queen configurations.

Our guestrooms are located on the upper storeys of our walkup buildings. They come in ether double or twin bed configurations. Each bathroom is shared by a maximum of two guestrooms,

Location Information

Located in Chelsea on 17th Street between 5th and 6th Ave on what was known as a photo district, Chelsea Inn as an enviable location. We are within walkng distance of a variety of local attractions such as the organic farmers market of Union Square as well as the bars and clubs of Greenwich Village and the Meatpacking district.

For the shopaholics we are around the corner from Filene's Basement and two avenue blocks away from a second Filene's basement and half a block from 5th Avenue shops.
