Liked: It was excellent value for money and the location is fantastic. It's a very nice, quiet and safe area with easy access to transport. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. I met some great people while I was staying there and I would definitely recommend it.

Liked: we liked the location and the price. that's it. people should be aware that the showers are of poor quality, the mattresses are really uncomfortable, there is only one computer to use the internet and it costs 1$/10 min and it is only accessible when the reception is open. the security deposit is also only available during the opening hours of the reception and we are not allowed to leave any cash or checks, the staff was not especially friendly and it was not possible to lock the door of the dorm, so anybody able to make it through the door could access all the rooms. when you check out and want to leave your bags at the hostel, you have to pay 1$ per bag per hour.

Liked: The location is great. The outside of the property is wonderful. However, the bed rooms...that's another story. Don't think I would want to stay there again.

Liked: It was easy to find with great access to both subway and buses. And just around the corner from a Starbucks (needed that some mornings!). There were no hidden costs and the lounge area in the basement was comfy and nice. We had a great stay!! Only thing to keep in mind when packing, the NYC fire department does not allow very large suitcases up the old staircase,, so try and keep your suitcase at a medium size!

Liked: I choose this hostel coz its good location.I can use 2 station and easy access to go anywhere.This hostel facilities is fine coz its price.Bathroom,kitchen,livingroom were enough for me.But maybe in summer is sooo hot (even if in Oct,the room is warmer i think)

Liked: The atmosphere and the staff are great. The ouse is a little worn out but it only contributes to the atmosphere and it is a neat hostel. Something to consider would be to have some kind of smaller lockers in the rooms. I liked it a lot!!

Liked: You have to leave all your bags downstairs with all other bags, beds are very old, two bathrooms for 16 people (these includes toilet, so in the morning, when people take shower it can be annoying).

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at ISC. The staff was so friendly and helpful. the room was great and the location as well... it ´s located just half a block from the subway. The lounge is big and clean. Rachel and the others are the best.
