Liked: Were upgraded to a nioce suite with four people. It was a clean and classy place. Well worth the money. The staff was friendly and were quick to respond to any shortcomings.

Liked: common areas are very useful, wifi, power, hot drinks basic breakfast and tv full kitchen serves available

Disliked: i stayed in a dorm and the out of reach areas were thick dust esp the ceiling fan and top of curtains

Liked: The location was amazing! Only a couple of minutes to two subway stations, about 2 minutes to Broadway and 10 minutes to Times Square.Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful and guests were from all over the world and fun to meet!

Liked: 1291 is such a perfect place to stay in NYC, I genuinely would reccomend it to anyone planning a trip there. It is walking distance to Times Sqaure (or a $5 cab) and is in a really nice area that is definitely safe. The staff at the hostel are so lovely and will help you out with anything at all. It has a really fun feel to it, each room has a different theme and is very clean- not at all what i expected from a hostel. I am quite fussy when it comes to accomodation, and I loved 1291 so I would seriously suggest it to anyone... I'll definitely be going there again!

Disliked: If i had to say something I would say that there was no lift!

Liked: It was a great room and well located

Disliked: Expensive wifi, go to the McDonalds down the road. The common room is on the other side of 8th avenue if you are in a dorm so not conducive to meeting people outside your dorm.

Disliked: think the dorm could have been a little cleaner, but understand with people staying and coming and going all the time that cleaning around people's stuff/backpack etc can be hard. also the bathroom (specifically the shower) in the room I was in (2b) could use a little renovating!

Liked: Close to subway and Times Square, nice staff

Disliked: Although smoking was not allowed in the hotel, our floor smelled of cigarettes and the bathroom had cigarette butts in the trash can. The tub looked unclean.

Liked: Excellent location near Broadway, Central Park, and the subway.

Disliked: Shower quality is variable. Some rooms have A/C and others only have fans. Paid internet.

Liked: Was all alright but would benefit from airconditioning, an uncooled room with 6 people in can get a bit uncomfortable. Other than that it was great, the building i stayed in was right next to the sioup kitchen featured in Seinfeld and it was in a good central location with easy access to public transportation. Overall another success.

Liked: Nice big dorm room with not too many beds crammed in. The dorm floor was a bit dirty but the bathroom was clean. Staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience
