relatively clean.not as bad as people as people described but felt a bit like a school camp with alot backpackers acting like theyve had their first beer making alot of noise. running round like idiots

Notthe most pleasant of areas but hostel was really good and the subway is about a block away. Felt safe and the people are great.

This is a great place, I really enjoyed it. The staff are effiecient, place is clean and looks great. You feel safe and comforatable at all times:) The only thing they really lack is a kettle...

It has access to various forms of transportation, including subway system. The staff are around 24/7 to help you with any problem. The facility is very clean.

Really close to the 125th Subway stop making it really easy to get around from the hostel. Also the price was pretty reasonable for New York probably because of the area its in. Despite what people fear about the area I generally felt safe and never had any problems.

I had a great time hanging out on the patio and meeting lots of fun people from all over the world. Richard (guy behind the counter) was also extremely helpful!!! He was very friendly and accommodating and went out of his way to improve my stay. I will definitely be back!!!
