Aleksandar PetrovGood price for the location, BUT: really cramped small rooms, some of the staff - not friendly, joke of a breakfast, poor air conditioning and if you check in late in the night - you won't find your bed free and clean!... Be aware - they take cash but don't return cash if anything wrong or you change mind! |

Jim van AalstGood hostel for the price that you pay. Don't expect a proper kitchen (no forks/knifes/anything) as there isn't a livingroom to hang around after a long day of walking. The rest is O.K. Neighbourhood is fine, girls traveling alone should look more downtown as some fellow (girl)travelers weren't into going out at night because of "strange guys" walking around. We had a good stay for the <100 $!! week. |

Fergus PoyntonThey didn't have any spoons but had lots of plastic forks so the free breakfast of cereal was a bit complicated. The don't have much cutlery but it's not too bad considering it's cheap and in NY. The bedrooms are good with lockers in them which was really handy. |

Customer reviewI liked the close proximity to the gang of stores on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. It was literally down the street from the Apollo Theatre. A lot of stores like McDonald's, White Castle's, Burger King, local vendors selling fresh fruit and vegetables got my vote. It's a safe area, right off the train 2, 3 on 125th street. Very easy to get to, and very fun to be in. The only draw back was having to walk up to the 5th floor, and slight confusion on room location. Be warned, keep your heavy luggage in the lobby or in the luggage room until you have secured the room first. This is a lovely quaint hotel that is more bang for your buck. Bring your fresh towels and personal care items, and have fun meeting new people. This property is exactly what you've been looking for if you want accessibility, safe place to lay your head, clean rooms, and attentive staff. Free breakfast in the morning, or bring your own food and use the kitchen. You won't be disappointed. |

Customer reviewThis was the worst hostel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at several hostels around the world (including China and Eastern Europe). The staff were completely unhelpful, rude, and incompetent. My sister and I didn't sleep at all because the hostel was so noisy. |

Dave OrbinsonBasic but clean hostel. Good location in Harlem only a couple of blocks away from the metro station, only about 10 mins to Times Square on the Metro. Staff were helpful too. |

Shaun JonesIt was a very lively hostel with lots of interesting people staying there. Though there could have been more cutlery and a grill available. |
