R. SiekmanBrilliant location: close to center of Manhattan, yet in a quiet street. Our room was one of the smaller ones on the floor, yet it was bigger than in most hostels we've seen in the four times we visited NY (always stayed in several hostels in one visit). You have to ask for the view though(!), since the view on the other side isn't half as interesting. Friendly and helpful staff, even a sweet elderly man who directed us to our rooms (could just as well have been the owner..). Low fun-and-party factor though; nowhere to meet other guests except for the lobby, and the quietness is what we enjoyed about Hotel 31! Tip: have breakfast or lunch at Guy&Gallard at the end of the block. Classy and yummy. We will definately come back here! |

Monika SefeldI could see the Empire State Building from my bed! The location is perfect - close to many importent sights like "Empire State Building", Macy's, Times Square...everything is within walking distance. WE had a "2 single bed/no bath" room, which was very nice, cosy and comfortable(I slept like a baby!) It was the best Hotel I ever stayed in N.Y. ! The common bathroom was also very clean! |
