Customer reviewIn general the hostel is ok, good location (close to subway and central park) and safe. The fact there is only 1 shower and toilet per floor between 15(approx) girls can be annoying. This hostel is at best average, there was the bare minimum information available to guests, not even a map of manhatten (quite important!) we were fobbed off with a bus map and told there would be some more maps in a week - we stayed for a week and none appeared. No leaflets or brochures on events, museums etc. My main issue though was with the lacklustre attitude of the staff which was commented on by other guests I talked to. I'm not sure what their purpose was short of watching dvds on their personal laptops. Any questions I asked were met with a shrug and "dunno" kind of response, and a smile was pretty much out of the question (apart from Francesca) It would maybe help if there was a New Yorker working there or somebody that had some local knowledge...or actually, just someone that gave a damn! If everywhere else is booked then this place isn't awful, it's just there are better (Hostel International is good) |

Customer reviewI slept in a 4 bed doorm. There was only one shower and one toilet per floor, which was way too little. There was no place to keep your stuff safe - you either had them in your room (where there was no lockers or even dedicated space), in the internet room on the enrtance floor (where anyone could take them and the staff wouldn't notice), or leave smaller valuables with the staff in the reception - however, the staff didn't pay attention to who left what stuff, so anyone living at the hostel (or pretending to live at the hostel) could claim your valuables. When I came to pick up my computer that I left there, I was "offered" other people's computers. Harlem is a pretty cool place to live, and it does not feel unsafe. |

Zofia KotowskaI really enyoied my stay at the Pink Hostel. Staff is friendly, location could be a little bit better, in the evenings is not so nice, but subway is very close, so I recommend it for everyone and surely I will stay there when I visit NYC next time. Thanks! |

CHING-YU HSUwe live in this hostel for seven nights,but we changed our beds for FOUR times!!! everytime when we go back to our room,our beds are occupied!!!our things on the bed are all throw on the grond,and my pants is vanishh!! it's really bad feeling!! but they don't solve the problem ~they have bad management on this hostel!! someone's money is stolen ,but they can only say sorry,and do nothing!! besides, it's dangerous at night,especially at the exit of the subway,there's a lot of drunk man,homeless there,just be carefull!!!anyway , my sister and i had a pretty bad experiences in this hostel,and feel disappointed of the staff's attitute. |

Customer reviewThe staff lost my 3 day registration even though I paid a deposit and made me sleep in the living room on the couch. Also, the wireless internet was pasword protected & I could not log onto the network. The password they gave me did not work. |

Rebecca BriggsI really enjoyed my stay here. It was my first stay in a hostel, and it was a good one. I really loved the pink theme! The neighborhood is a little sketch at night, but the hostel itself felt very safe and secure. Super close to the metro, which I loved! I would for sure stay here again. Love the staff! |

Zoe BullinghamC train gets you to Columbus Circle in 15 mins, and you can take express trains to most places in Manhattan from there. Very homely place, with bags of character. Location is excellent: full of "New Harlem" spirit. Harlem sometimes gets a bad press, unfairly: it is a safe and cool area, so don't be afraid to take advantage of the absence of any curfew at Pink. |

klara KullbergThe staff is really nice and helpful, the property is really nice just a little confusion with my booking that couldnt be found, but they quickly made a new one for me, the building is very clean. Only negqtive thing I cqn think of is that the common areas arent very big, but thats ok, since you re not in new york to hang out in the kitchen! If they had free breakfast it would be perfect! |

Kriszta PozsonyiThis hostel is just amazing - the staff will do anything to please the guests, you feel welcome from the moment of arrival. It is also very, very clean and the location is great too - the subway is right around the corner. There is just nothing to complain about, I am so impressed. |
