08 November 2009	Customer review Its really an average accomodation. Not super, not bad. Its an old building with even older stairs, a small reception aka common room with 2 computers (free internet) The bathrooms were ok, hot water, clean..enough, spacious..enough. As were the beds. Beds were a bit hard, but you get used to it. The rooms were also clean...enough. No bugs or big piles of dust, but still the carpet looked old. There are no lockers in the room, so bring a small locker for your backpack of suitcase. What I absolutely didn't like was the climate there. It was either too warm (windows closed) or too cold (windows open). They do make up with the free internet and phonecalls (local) and the good service. I would recommend this place as a second option, you know, when the better ones are full, this one will do because of the good location. (the price is a bit high) Its ten minutes walking from metrostation (take airtrain from jfk to Jamaica station and then the E-train ), 10/15 min walk to times square and 15/20 min to central park.	65%

27 September 2009	Evelyn Henderson Location was ok, close to Times Square, Penn Station and a bus station. A metro is only 5 mins walk away which will take you downtown. As a single female I felt safe about walking around even at night. 24 hr reception, free internet On the downsides - no lockers in rooms, very hard and squeaky bunk beds, noise at night (mainly traffic), very small common area, hot water and tea bags but no coffee milk or rubbish bin, only 2 showers on our floor, which double as bathrooms (so one shower with a sink in same room, and another shower/sink/toilet) which meant that if 2 people were showering then no toilet or sink available. Not much city info available, when I asked for a map I was given a large booklet with a fold out map that only had the very main streets on so had to rely on guide book maps. not really sure how this compares with other NYC hostels, but compared to San Fran and Europe it had the least facilites/space for the highest cost! They charge more for weekend nights and I think they add tax too.	42%

06 September 2009	Laura LeGrand I LOVE this hostel because it is right next to EVERYTHING! Took us 3 min to walk to time square, about 8 min to central park and was an easy location to find. I will be staying here again for sure.	97%
