Liked: Love this place, as the name suggests is a little oasis tucked away, but close to 5th Ave and Empire State Building. Staff are very helpful and looking out for you. Thanks for an awesome time, if we come back to New York we will stay here again x

Liked: The location was perfect. Very central to many popular NY sites.

Liked: This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The location was especially good: it was two streets behind the Macy's and Penn Station. At Penn Station you can get on almost every subway line you want. The common area with a large kitchen and fridge was also great. Everything you need is available. Definitely a place to stay again!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Urban Oasis was fantastic to stay at, it felt more like you were staying at a good friends house rather than a hostel. It was excellent value for money and a brilliant location. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I would definately reccomend Urban Oasis and come back to stay again!

Disliked: The only thing I didn't like about Urban Oasis was that the pillows on the bed were a bit dogey. Other than that there were no problems!

Liked: Before coming to Urban Oasis, I was in contact with the staff; they were friendly and quick to answer any questions. The same thing during my whole stay. Flexible and helpful. The place got a great location, close to Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Flatiron building e.g. Modern furnitures, everything is from IKEA so its practical and colourful. Absolutely the best hostel I've stayed in so far during my 6 months in North America.

Disliked: Might be a bit hard to find since they don't have a sign for the hostel. Got direction from the staff in advance tough.

Liked: Everything. It is the best hostel we have ever stayed in. The staff were amazing and very helpful. They provide you with hints and tips for great places to eat and go to as well as keeping the place spotlessly clean. It felt more like a home apartment than a hostel and really was a great place to come back to after a long day pounding the streets. Free internet, use of telephone for local calls and even a laundry service. It is an amazing place that we would highly recommend.

Disliked: Nothing. Have rated it only medium for meeting people as it's small and quiet, but this is not necessarily a bad thing - a great place to go with a partner or friends.

Liked: Urban Oasis is just that, it's a little chilled out stylish loft apartment-style hostel in the heart of it all, it's just off Herald Square so right by Macy's and the Empire State Building, perfect. There are brilliant cooking facilities so if you're on a tight budget you can buy in. Although the rooms are not ensuite the bathrooms are impeccably clean (this was my biggest fear) and I rarely had to wait. The staff are super helpful and the owners are often on hand too for that extra personal touch. Oh also, there's towels for every guest and a hairdryer and straighteners for everyone's use too, save you bringing your own. there's also a scales for weighing your case+shopping!!

Disliked: We were in room six on the 10th and the windows were a bit draughty. Fine when you were nestled in the blankets but not so good for just hanging out in the room. all in all I'd definitely recommend it to a friend!!

Liked: This Hostel is amazing. It is like being given the keys to someones massive New York appartment. The whole place is very spacious and clean. We stayed in a superior double and the room was huge with a massive window and the bed was very big and comfortable too. I saw into some of the other rooms and they were all really nice and had plenty of space. There is a good kitchen and plenty of common areas which are very comfortable and relaxing. There is a big TV with loads of channels and movies to choose from and a bean bag corner with books and magazines to read and info about New York. We were on the 10th floor and had free wifi in our room and downstairs there were free computers to use and the internet connection is good.This hostel is very quiet and it often feels like you have the place to yourself.

Disliked: This is not a party hostel by any means and not really the place to meet people to go out with.

Liked: its a cool, contemporary space with really friendly and helpful staff, the place is immaculately clean and is such a chilled out place to stay among the hustle and bustle of midtown. Its also relatively cheap for that area -- highly recommend it!

Disliked: the only slightly negative thing you could say is that no rooms have en-suite bathrooms which would be a nice touch and more than feasible as our room was quite big and could fit a shower in the corner at the least -- but it is a hostel and not a hotel so shouldn't be expected

Liked: Its a wonderfull place. Im feeling like home. The locations ins fantastic. The WTC is on my window. The hostel is very clean and a beatifull place. The staff is wonderful too. This is my place in NY by now.

Disliked: The entrance of the building and the elevator are very ugly, but the hostel make you forget this vdetails ..

Liked: It's a very stylish place to stay in Mid Manhattan just around the corner of Empire State Building. The lounges on both floors are very spacious so there is enough room to relax. You have the chance to watch movies, listen to music or just use the internet. The staff is very nice and always happy to give you tips. We are really glad that we have decided to stay here.

Disliked: In the room we stayed at you can hear noises from the street... but that's NYC!

Liked: I loved the cleanliness of the hostel, there was lots of space so it never felt crowded. The free ground coffee and tea was such a nice bonus. The movies in the movie library were fantastic for when we were tired after a long day and just wanted to flop on the sofa. The bathrooms were always spotless - which was very important to me. The hostel also had great take out menus on hand + telephone, the take out people knew the address so it was a fuss free process to order food. All in all, a great place to stay.
