Alexandra WatkinsThe 'Urban Oasis' is a hidden gem in the heart of Manhattan (right near the Empire State building). The bedrooms are modern yet homely, as too is the living area, kitchen, and bathrooms. There are just six private rooms in this hostel, which makes the atmosphere so much more personal than larger hostels. The owners and staff are friendly, fun and helpful. It was Thanksgiving day on one of the days that I stayed here with my new husband (it was our honeymoon). The owners supplied a banquet of traditional American desserts (cookies, pecan pie, apple pie, etc). A group of us, including the owners themselves, shared food and wine late into the evening. It was a memorable, New York, experience. I would definitely stay here again. |

Customer reviewThe reviews can be believed. Urban Oasis was great for a couple of friends for a couple of nights. We had the twin overlooking the empire state building - it was a little chilly but there was a heater provided. Location was great for midtown and felt very safe. Facilities were great and it felt more like an apartment than a hostel. People kept themselves to themselves but that was perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again. |

Hugo BastosA very nice place indeed. Location is great, the apartment is spacious, clean and organized. It has a very nice and large common area with kitchen, living room and reception desk. The room was big (superior twin room) and the beds were very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to enhance our stay at the hostel. When I return to NYC I'll surely stay there again. |

Tine GeuensWe loved everything about our staying in New York. The city is amazing and so is Urban Oasis. It is a very clean hostel located in the center of New York. We were able to walk to all the parts in New York because the hostel is so well located. The staff was soooooo friendly and gave excellent information. I would recommend this place to everyone. |

jennifer priceIf you want a good, safe hostel this is it. Staff were really helpful and the hostel was clean with a relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in one of the twin rooms and had a great view of the Empire State building and the economy double was a good size as well. One subway stop from Times Square or a 15minute walk up Broadway (but its a nice walk) Two minutes from Empire State building. Can't fault them, I would definately recommend this hostel to my friends and stay here again when I come back. Thanks guys! |

Theresa ChiltonWe had a fantastic time in New York and staying at Urban Oasis made it even better. Can't speak highly enough about the friendly helpful staff, they really made you feel welcome. Great location could walk to most places. It was beautifully decorated and well looked after. Was a great place to relax after a hard day sight seeing / shopping in New York. It is in the city so you have to expect some noise of traffic but you soon get used to that and didn't even notice it after a while. A GREAT GREAT GREAT place to stay, we will definitely be back! |

Marijn WitteUrban Oasis was EVERYTHING we had hoped for! Just believe all the good reviews you read on this site! We had a great time here (stayed 8 nights) and that wasn't nearly enough to do everything we wanted to do in this awesome city. I just can't recommend Urban Oasis enough. Clean, great location, friendly staff and just very relaxed atmosphere. We hope to come back one day.... Best regards to everyone working there! Maartje & Marijn |

Customer reviewWhere to begin. It is just great. The thing is, I dont know if I should tell you this, I want to be able to get a room next time I visit... But I'll do it anyway The place is really spacious, the ceiling height is amazing, at least 4 meters. Our room, a Superior Twin (one of two - there a total of six rooms) faced the Empire State Building, literally two blocks away. And it is CLEAN - i've heard lots of horror stories about cockroaches and whatnot in NY hotels, but as soon as you get out of the elevator (okay, the house entrance is pretty shady but never mind, push through!) it is clean and bright. The location is perfect - you get the pulse of uptown, but EVERYTHING is close. Three subwaylines within a few blocks, the city is at your feet. Go there and you will have a great time. |
