Liked: Fab place. An oasis as described, the place promotes itself as a quiet place to get away from the hustle of NYC and it does just that. There are excellent shared areas, massive fridge, sofas, beanbags, TV's, games etc. Always clean - they are at it all the time which makes the shared bathrooms not a problem. I only had to wait briefly once in the entire stay. Rooms are comfy - beds very much so. We got a twin with a view of the Empire State. This place books quickly and you can see why. Was very happy. In the centre and only a few blocks from everything.

Liked: The property was not to big and unlike a normal hostel you have a room for your own. For this price you better stay in this hostel than in a cheap hotel. Everything was clean and tidy.

Liked: Everything about this hostel (more of a beautiful apartment) was perfect. All of the staff members were helpful and friendly. It is a two story apartment with views of the Empire State Building, free computers and internet, TVs with hundreds of movies, laundry service, huge lounge areas and kitchens, etc. We stayed in the budget double and it was the nicest place we have stayed at on our world tour!

Liked: perfect situated. in the center of manhattan. very helpful and nice people. big rooms for nyc. clean and small hostel. not many rooms. makes you feel home.

Disliked: it would be better to have an own toilet and shower in the room. but of course it was not a big problem. you actually almost never have to wait to go to the shower or toilet. and its most of the time pritty clean

Liked: I have stayed at a lot of hostels around the world and Urban Oasis is one of the best I have ever stayed at. If you are looking for a hostel that offers a party atmosphere this is NOT the place for you. Urban Oasis offers exactly what the name says. An oasis in the heart of NYC to get some rest and recharge your batteries before taking on the sights and sounds that the big apple has to offer.First off the staff here are wonderful, you don’t feel as though you are staying in a hostel, but staying in someone’s home. The hostel is extremely clean and the bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned several times throughout the day.The common areas are tidy with free internet and local phone calls. The kitchens are big enough and have everything you will need to cook a meal. The location is sensational and only a few blocks from Times Square, Penn Station and Empire State. I will definitely stay here again and again. Its no surprise why Urban Oasis is rated as one of the top Hostels in North America.

Liked: A fantastic property located in an ideal position in Manhattan. The whole property is kept extremely clean all of the time. The staff are so helpful and are always ready to offer their recommendations on their city. Wonderful place. Highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to NYC.

Liked: Excellent hostel, everything to the highest spec, clean modern and welcoming. The staff bend over backwards to help and provide you with all the information and utilities for a great trip. Perfect location for exploring the city on foot. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Liked: Very high quality hotel standard accommodation in a friendly, smaller hostel environment. Unbeatable value. Will definitely stay here again.

Liked: Everything! It was clean and tidy, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpfull, the location is amazing, the room was lovely, the bathrooms were kept incredibly clean. We could come and go as we pleased - there was no curfew. Free internet and free use of the phone for local calls were nice treats! Just an amazing place to stay.

Liked: Our amazing host, Mina, was really welcoming and friendly. He gave us great advice on things to do and places to go and was always around for a chat or to answer questions. We stayed in a private double room which was spacious and clean with newly installed AC, a welcome addition in the Summer heat. The shared bathroom facilities and common areas were always clean and tidy. A great place to meet other travellers.

Liked: It was so clean, and the facilities were excellent. The location couldn't have been better as it was in walking distance of all the key sites, furthermore as two females travelling by ourselves it was important to us that we felt safe. The hostel was secure and I felt as safe there as in my own house.

Disliked: There was not really the opportunity to meet other travellers, because there was no cafe or food serving facility/bar as there is in some other hostels. However this wasn't that important in NYC.

Liked: Dieses Hostel ist eine wirkliche Oase mitten im Centrum von NY.....Die Menschen hier sind absolut nett und hilfsbereit.....Wir haben uns hier sehr, sehr wohl gefuehlt und koennen es nur jedem, der in der hektischen Stadt zwischendurch auch mal Ruhe moechte, weiter empfehlen ......

Liked: This place is really like an urban oasis. The name fits perfectly! It was a quiet, clean and stylish place right in the centre of Manhattan (5 min. walk to Times Square). We would always recommend this hostel and will stay there again.

Liked: This place is definitely the best hostel we have ever stayed at. Rooms are cozy, common areas are brilliant and the bathrooms are nice and clean. There are only six rooms in the hostel, which makes it very intimate and it's no problem sharing bathrooms with others. Thanks from Camilla and Mads, Denmark

Liked: We liked the friendly owner. She is very polite. The atmosphere is very homely. There are only 6 rooms and it feels like home. It is a very clean place to stay. The rooms are very nice decorated. You have free internet and a very clean kitchen to use.It's in the middle of Manhattan, near everything! We had a very pleasant stay.
