Please call us from the airport bus or train station just before you leave to come to us.
By Subway:
Take the Uptown B or C train to 116th Street then walk east 100 feet (35 meter)straight ahead to 242 West 116th St.
If you do not have a phone then you can go across the street to the Soap Opera Laundromat 251West 116th St. and call Luchiana (646)233-8445from there and she will arrange access for check in.
From the airport:
The Super Shuttle will take you directly to the hostel. From JFK Airport, you can take the Air train Jamaica then get the train to Manhattan and transfer at 7thAve and switch to the uptown B or C train to 116th St . We are at 242 West 116th St about 100 feet/ 35 meters from the subway station exit.
Some museums are within walking distance of us and "Museum Mile" is across the park. Columbia University is also 3 blocks to our east.
From Port Authority (Bus Station or Penn Station Amtrak):
Take the B or C train as described above.
Super Shuttle will take you directly to the hostel from the airports and back. The Olympia airport shuttle costs $11.00 and goes between all airports and the Port Authority, Penn Station and Grand Central every 20 minutes. From JFK Airport, you can take the A train to 59th street and transfer for the B or C to 116th Street.
From Grand Central:
Take the S train to Times Square and change to the C uptown to 116th Street.
From Port Authority:
Take the C uptown to 116th Street.
From Penn Station:
Take the C uptown to 116th Street.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area or take the train a few stops downtown to the trendiest part of the Upper West Side.
