12 October 2009	Customer review This place has to come to terms with the fact that it's turning into a party hostel. By that I mean (a) it organises pub/bar crawls, (b) more importantly, there's people banging around past midnight, lights being swticthed on in dorms, people talking really loudly in corridors, there's no community feel/pressure to keep noise down. All that said, if you're after a good night's sleep, but new in town, maybe checking out here for a few days till you get you bearings is a good thing. But if you book a dorm for a week or two, expect to get a shabby night's sleep most nights. The dorm itself is close to public transport, lots of people getting off with you late at night so it felt quite safe. When I visited - breakfast varied each day, and it was a medium sized pile of bananas and half bagels (occasionally with cereal) which people pounced on, normally gone in 20min. In regards to other food option - our cheese and juice in the fridge didn't disappear, and there's quite a few convience stores around the place, and a Subway open late with $5 footlongs, so the hostel's very well positioned that way. Also, Management is in the process of painting it and redoing the courtyard so it looks quite nice. If you stay here, and the shower's occupied for some time - remember there's spare showers on other floors, just off the corridors.	77%

30 July 2009	Customer review Great, fun, friendly and helpful staff!! It's a nice location on the upper east side. Tiny kitchen and no inside space to stretch out or relax. Like no couches etc. Nice simple out door area. not a hugely social hostel, so it's good for a good nights sleep! They have a serious mouse problem in some dorms and a few ppl believed they had bed bugs bites!! Overall not the best hostel I've been to. But was cheap and the fantastic staff made it worth while!!	67%
