Liked: Hostel was located near the subway stop and it was relatively easy to reach from the JFK airport. The room was very big and spacious and there were two bathrooms available.

Disliked: I read good reviews about the breakfast but I must say that I is not as spectacular as some say... It was basic breakfast food, cereals and bread etc. but the thing that put me off was how disorganized the kitchen was.

Liked: Clean rooms and good breakfast with fresh fruits. There were also two bathrooms for one dorm.

Disliked: The room almost got too warm during the night.

Liked: Great location - so it's not in Manhattan, but this area in Brooklyn has so much character and the coolest vibe. You only have to catch the train to get into Manhattan, and it has everything you need nearby anyway. It's safe, no matter what anyone says. Just a really quality hostel. And your own bed in the bigger dorms - no bunk beds!

Disliked: If you're not into sugar-fuel breakfasts, pick up some granola. The cereal is classic American candy cereal. Novel, but not so practical.

Liked: I booked a 12 bed dorm but they put me into a 3 bed room with just one other person and a private bathroom! And didn't charge me extra. The last night I stayed at a 12 bed dorm but the rooms are just huge so it doesnt feel like a 12 bed dorm at all. The breakfast is just amazing! So much food! Its very close to the subway and takes just a few minutes to manhattan.

Disliked: The breakfast is very good but way to early. It start at 6 and ends at 9. But its really worth is to get up for it!

Liked: Plenty of space in the rooms, no bunks, lockers (Bring your own lock) that are big enough to hold valuables at the end of each bed. 2 bathrooms in 12 bed dorm (good ratio), good breakfast. The no alcohol after 10pm in the hostel stops any wild room mates getting stupid, which is good.

Disliked: Staff a little blase, but it was a time of year that wouldn't be much fun to work (Christmas/New Year), and I didn't have any actual problem with them. Reasonably clean, but wooden floors in the rooms get a little grubby. No bar at the hostel, but there are other bars nearby

Liked: met cool people, confortable big rooms, good breakfast, close to subway, short subway ride to downtown manhattan, never seen such good rooms in a hostel!

Disliked: marcela left no negative feedback.

Liked: The decor and layout of the hostel is great and the bed was very comfortable too.

Disliked: The location is not great but with the L stop nearby its fairly easy to reach other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan

Liked: The neighborhood was nice, easily accessible by subway, a shop and cheap restaurants around the corner.

Disliked: They didn't give directions to the hostel from the airports or train stations, the WiFi was down for two days without them being overly concerned with it, and you have to pay extra for storage, towels and computer use (even with the WiFi not working!)

Liked: Close to metro & easy to get to Manhattan. Staff are pretty friendly, rooms are spacious enough & the hostel is well kept.

Disliked: Hostel is in an artsy/hipster part of Brooklyn, I really don't like hipsters, but it wasn't too bad.

Liked: Good location, great atmosphere, big free breakfast and overall clean and nice place! Definite thumbs up!

Liked: the interior design and the atmosphere

Disliked: Nothing concerning the property, but me as well as other travelers have been disappoint to discover only at the moment of the payment that there was actually an extra taxation non included in the calculated fee at the moment of the booking. This was mentioned in the booking but only in minor letters difficult to be read. Perhaps in future this could be better highlighted. Someone could opt for other solution for that "actual" price.

Liked: The breakfast is, truly, great! A great way to start a busy New York day. I love the high loft ceilings and the rooms had a lot of space, with two full bathrooms in each (great!) . It's a big hostel, but it doesn't feel crowded.

Disliked: Prices went up to $65 a night for Friday and Saturday... which is just too much for this property. Not the BEST experience with the staff, but overall good. Rooms cold, but you can ask for more blankets (do it before you wake up in the middle of the night freezing!). Okay location.

Liked: huge spacious rooms, locker for each person, great breakfast, internet working all over the hostel. common area spacious. dorns and bathrooms always clean. location is great, staff are friendly and helpful. The Perfect hostel finally!

Liked: The place was really clean and each bathroom had an ensuite which is great because theres nothing worse than hostels which dont have enough toilets or showers. The thing i liked most is the atmosphere, everyone is really social and straight away i met a whole bunch of great people that were awesome fun to hang out with. I was hesitant about staying in Brooklyn cos i didnt know anything about it but it was great. Easy to get to Manhatten by subway and everywhere else, healthfood / grocery store around the corner open really late and a few cafes around the place. Area was also safe to walk around even at night. The garden area out the back is really pretty and you can drink and smoke out there too until midnight. I really loved this hostel- though it was triple the price of other hostels id stayed at, it was well worth it:

Disliked: One of the staff members was pretty un-helpful but everyone else there was great.

Liked: the hostel is very clean, there's plenty of space and the staff is very friendly and helpful. you get breakfast for free! i'd really recommend this place!

Disliked: the only bad thing was that i didn't feel safe walking back alone from the subway to the hostel at night. even though the area is supposed to be save...

Liked: The breakfast is plentiful, varied and free, and the hostel is within easy walking distance of the subway. There are also three free barbecues a week, serving up different kinds of meats.

Disliked: Breakfast is only served until 9 a.m., the floors creak, the rooms echo with remarkable efficiency, the wooden dividers between the beds squeak and rattle, the mattresses are a bit uncomfortable, and the general atmosphere is less than hospitable.
