Liked: Things that I liked: the spacious rooms, the graphic design-y appearance, the free breakfast, the 'courtyard', the relative quiet of the area.

Disliked: The one thing that I disliked was the sight of mold growing on the bathroom ceiling--very unsightly, and also a potential health hazard. Other than that, I really enjoyed the hostel and found very little 'wrong' with it. :-)

Liked: It had a good atmosphere, nice people, easy to travel, and i loved how big the doorms where, you had your own little part of the room, instead of just a bed.

Disliked: in the morning i had to wait after 7 o'clock to get my money to check out. bit strange, cause i had to get the bus.

Liked: Tidy, airy, big dorm rooms... great outdoor patio space. Breakfast was cereal fruit & instant waffles but it was free & I'm fine with that. Cheerful atmosphere & sunny rooms. Free wifi. Great staff too.

Disliked: No concerns.

Liked: Great hostel, enjoyed the free BBQ n breakfast! Clean rooms, staff are always willing to help and are very friendly

Liked: This property had a wonderful atmosphere. It was fun to sit out on the patio and meet other travelers. The property was well kept and very nice.

Disliked: Kitchen and laundry construction during our stay was inconvenient. The price was a little high.

Liked: I absolutely loved staying in this hostel. The place was absolutely beautiful! Hardwood floors, 4 floors, many options for rooms. The patio was gorgeaous with turf floors so no dirt and the breakfasts and bbq dinners were EXTENSIVE! I met at least 20 new people just by walking up and saying hello. A little disapointed we couldn't stay up and drink later in the hostel, whats up with that? The neighborhood is also aweseom, stores right down the block and bars and cool new yorkers wandering about. Accessibility to the L train (the easiest brooklyn train!) was fabulous!

Disliked: absolutely nothing. 100% satisfied!

Liked: Great place to meet people, dorms are very spacious (8-10 person), free BBQ is great 3 nights per week

Disliked: On my final 2 nights the hostel was basically booked out by a overseas tour group - which totally removed the fun and social atmosphere. I would check with the hostel prior to arriving in case this occurs

Liked: Free breakfast was ok, had a really nice open kitchen and patio area for meals, they had no problem with you having a few quiet drinks on the property and the hostel is really attractively done, painted walls etc..

Disliked: The staff's attitude was that everything was someone elses problem, lack of cooking facilitites (microwave only), small kitchen for number of people there. Quite expensive for where and what it was.

Liked: Nice outside area, clean and actually pretty quiet at night. Wasn't bothered of noise from other rooms. Even though the Hosrtel was fully booked I didn't need to wait in line for the bathroom, which was nice. Nice staff, and very helpful. It was something wrong with my booking, but they fixed it and I manage to get a room to myself, which was ok.

Disliked: the room was cold, and some of the hostel experience is for me the sharing of room, which didn't bc of my booking. Didn't really have the possibillity of getting in contact with people bc we left early in the morning and came back late at night.

Liked: The hostel itself is large and clean. They were over booked so I shared a 2 bed room instead of the 6 bed dorm room, and they gave me a free locker as there was only one in the room. The breakfast was VERY well catered. The kitchen and backyard are large and charming.

Disliked: Whilst the area is a little dodgy, you can't expect much in NY, and the subway was only 2 minutes walk, which balanced it out.

Liked: The rooms were clean and tidy - all you really need in a hostel! Plus there was a sizable outdoor/alfresco area attached to the kitchen - great for meeting people, in addition to the renovations that had only recently been finished, including 30+ CCTV cameras for a little more piece of mind.

Disliked: Location - The hostel is located in a shady industrial feeling area of Brooklyn that you should be cautious of if arriving late at night. During the day time, the area was safe.

Liked: The free breakfast is a bonus considering the price is more than most hostels. The decor, although quite dirty is really fun.

Disliked: The couple i the bed having sex next to me. The fact that i was meant be in an all girls dorm and they refused to move me as they claimed it was full. The unhelpful staff who looked tired and depressed.

Liked: It was a really cool hostel and in a relatively good location - just near a metro and in the very hip Brooklyn.

Disliked: Waaaaaay too expensive, even for New York.

Liked: friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, beds are fine, breakfast is the best i have had in a backpacker hostel, garden is very nice, kitchen is quite large and with direct access to garden outdoor, modern facillities with all you can need on offer

Disliked: location is not the best, a tad far away BUT L subway line is on the doorsteo (5 mn walk literally) with direct access to Bedford avenue in Williamburg (10 mn ride) and it takes no more than 20 mns to get to Midtwown Manhattan...also, the area surrounding the hostel is not bad...lots of artist lofts, a few bars...BUT you need to be ready to travel a litte bit to bedford or manhattan if you want to go out and party!

Liked: I stayed a few weeks here total. Fairly fun, clean, safe, and modern space to crash in Brooklyn, with fast access on L-line straight into Manhattan. You'll generally find young travelers here. There's a kitchen/lounge area that seems always talkative with people in the evenings. In the rooms, it's usually quiet and people keep to themselves with a few conversation sparks here and there. There are safes that fit carry-on luggage size suitcases, but bring your own locks. There's 1 bathroom for up to 12 people -- but there are other bathrooms scattered throughout the complex, so it's actually not much of a problem.

Disliked: In my 2-3 weeks there I never had blankets. I used bed-sheets for blankets, and it always felt a little thin and strange. In a room of 12 people, you can expect at least one or two to be loud SNORERS.

Liked: My reservation had somehow been cancelled - the staff were fantastic in sorting it out and finding me a room. Top floor was quiet at night. Close to the L train station. Plenty of food at breakfast.

Disliked: Kitchen was small for such a large hostel but kept very clean.

Liked: brooklyn is awesome! so the location is great. there is a organic shop nearby which has 24/7 opened with very cheap coffee.staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the hostel is really nice with its backyard, style, eg .. would book there again rightaway!

Disliked: if u dont have your own restrooms prepare for not always getting one when u want it .. but i think thats how its everywhere in ny :)
