Liked: It was warm, clean, comfortable and quiet, more like a flat share than a hostel. Balcony overlooking the city. Great location for bars food and independent shops.

Disliked: Only the stairs, but the owner will help u carry bags.

Liked: Location was excellent - right in the heart of Williamsburg and about 3 min walk from the subway and river taxi. Felt more like a shared house than a hostel.

Disliked: If I had to say something here I'd say that it could do with more literature on tourist options that you can take away - there was lots on the walls, but you couldn't take any of it with you.

Liked: This is a great hostel... It's like having your own apartment while you are traveling. You do not feel like an outsider or a "tourist". On the contrary, you get a vibe of the "real NY" and how people live on a daily basis, outside Times Square. It's less than 5 mts away from the subway, and it's really close to the main street, which is overcrowded with restaurants, bars, cafes, and other fun stuff. The room was OK for the value, the beds were comfortable (or maybe we were just exhausted), and the facility was very clean. The outside area was awesome and it had a great view to the city. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place and the owner is such a sweetheart! He took the time to explain us everything about the hostel and gave us really useful tips.

Disliked: There are only two bathrooms, so unless you wake up before 8.30 a.m., be prepared to wait to hustle your way into the shower.

Liked: This place was just the best. Definitely coming back here if I go back to NYC. Calm place to rest after a busy day/night, good location too. Young is supernice and helpful, place is clean with a good atmosphere.

Disliked: Nothing. Just keep in mind that the breakfast is cereal and milk, but a grocery store is just a few meters away.

Liked: Location! Williamsburg is gorgeous and the hostel is a few blocks from the subway and east river ferry which goes to Manhattan and also further down Brooklyn. There are great markets nearby. The hostel itself was very homely and the host is really friendly and helpful. The place is clean and quiet. I would definitely stay again!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: What I liked the most of Zip112 is that it is absolutely clean and neat. From the bathrooms to the kitchen, rooms and common areas, it was neat and well organized. In addition, Young was very nice and patient.

Disliked: I liked the property. However, there are no elevators avaliable. Though I considered it a good excersice for me, I'm not sure how handicapped persons could have access to this place.

Liked: Zip112 is in an uber cool location, Young was extremely helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommend this hostel.

Liked: ZIP112 is a very clean hostel, and has the basic amenities that you would need and free wifi. Young (the owner of the hostel) is a very nice person, and a cool person to talk to, he also knows some good places to eat and visit when in NY. It was a good experience overall.

Disliked: There are alot of stairs to climb up, but its good exercise!

Liked: ZIP112 is really clean and close to everything one would need. There is a really nice kitchen for cooking food but also a lot of eateries in the neighborhood. The owner is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and very helpful with getting you settled.

Disliked: Nothing- it was fantastic!

Liked: It was clean and safe - a great location. I loved the area, lots of great restaurants and cafes, and only a 5 minute train ride to Manhattan. The owner was really friendly and helpful.

Liked: The location is great- it's in the middle of all the action of Williamsburg and only a couple blocks from the subway. The hostel is very clean, quiet and relaxing, which is perfect after a busy day in New York.

Liked: Great place to stay - especially for solo female travellers. Small size makes it very easy to meet people. Very clean, safe and great location. Free internet too! I have been travelling for 7 months and is one of the nicest hostels I have stayed in by far. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it.

Disliked: Only the curtains in the dorms - let a lot of light in during the mornings but easily fixed with an eye mask.

Liked: What I liked about the hostel:The hostel was in a very cool and hip location and very convenient to Manhattan. The owner/manager was extremely nice and helpful. The hostel itself was charming. The accommodations were clean, secure, safe, nicely decorated and comfortable. It had a great modern kitchen area, computers with free internet service and a large wooden deck with a terrific view of the Manhattan skyline. It was a little more expensive than the normal price for a hostel, but definitely worth the extra money.
