location was great, bed was comfortable. lockers in room. assigned beds. social areas were a great place to relax and mingle. gift shop and cafe were pleasant surprises, various items.

The hostel was clean and located close to a subway to go right into the center of Manhatten. A lot of renovation (e.g. bathrooms) is ongoing so that this location will even become better in future.

ALL DAY EVERY WEEK, THE HOSTEL HAD SOMETHING ORGANISED FOR ITS GUESTS - MOSTLY FREE! THE BBQ ON THURSDAY NIGHT WAS GREAT!

The large kitchens were plenty of room and there was everything i needed like a regular home. The common room was a big size, with seats and bean bags, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were very clean too. Was surprised that there was a shop! i've stayed in many hostels but none with a regualr looking shop where you could buy postcards, sweaters and gifts etc.

the neighbourhood with the delis were great. with just a few stops witout changing the sub reaches Times Square and Penn Station.

I was thankful that Manuel the security guy helped me when I was really really sick. As I was really sick and couldnt make it to the vending machine he went and got me a big bottle of water adn some asprin. I wanted to give him some money but in the morning when I felt better he was not working and the rude lady at recepetion was not helpful she said he isnt working now!!!!!!
