Liked: Inexpensive and centrally located.

Disliked: My dorm was cramped and overcrowded, I saw mice in the dorm one night and reported it to staff but had to complain a second time before action was taken two days later.

Liked: Plenty of tours to meet other people and plenty of room to relax when you wanted to

Disliked: Location isn't the best but it's an easy subway ride to downtown

Liked: The best way to describe the NY HI is saying that everything realy works: The staff is friendly and helpfull, the rooms and beds are good and clean, the bathrooms are excelent (and even several improvements are being done!), they have many activities including guided tours with excelent guides around NY, the place is very quiet, you are 100m away from 103rd street line 1 subway station, you can see staff working and cleaning 24/24h and most important of all, every one of them has always a smile on their face and are always available to help you. I will always recomend this HI to my friends. It's really good value for money.

Disliked: The only thing I think could be better is the WIFI speed an range and a vending machine for hot drinks 24/24h

Liked: The place while huge had plenty of places to sit and socialize or just catch up on emails, the common rooms had varying degrees of noise so everyone had their choice of environment to sit in. The place had a great atmosphere all possible services were catered to and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay

Liked: I really liked the nice men and women who made us the best beagles for breakfast:) and i liked all the fun things that can be done in the hostels such as wii, entertainment, computer, games,... it was nice how little time it takes to reach downtown ny and the Subwaystation is really close, too! I apprechiated that we could easily cancel the first nights due to flightcancellation, without paying for it!

Disliked: maybe a little more showers would have been great...

Liked: Location was good, clean and secure

Disliked: The hostel is too big and seems really commercial. The common bathrooms are a big problem because there aren't enough cubicles on some floors so there's always a crowd.

Liked: The atmosphere was really nice.. decoration and the lobby is plenty of things to do..

Disliked: The restrooms are not bad, but you have to share a big bathroom with all the people of the floor...

Liked: Good hostel. Clean, safe and well organized. Many facilities offered, location is ok.

Disliked: in my experience, the staff was very rude (more than one person and more than once), certainly not friendly and not very helpful, what a shame!

Liked: Very large hostel with everything you could possibly need. Beer garten, many lounges, computers, billiards, and a movie theatre! plenty of activities! and the largest kitchen for any hostel/hotel.The staff was outstanding. Very cool and helpful. Very clean hostel. However, some did complain about mice running around. Which I never saw, nor did it bother me.I met a ton of awesome people!Plus, TAKE JERRY'S 13 hour tour around NYC. It is AWESOME.

Disliked: It cost to use the computers. Even though wifi is free if you have a laptop. Not much else

Liked: There were always activities going on, there are lockers in your bedroom and the showers and kitchen area were kept very clean, the staff were extremely helpful

Disliked: The comedians that put on the comedy night did seem to nag you to attend there nights
