Liked: I like the terraces for people sitting and talking in open air.

Disliked: there are not enough showers for female bathroom. For the toilet, the tap water is too weak. it's difficult for brushing teeth.

Liked: The atmosphere was really nice especially in the common area were you were able to use wi-fi. It was great that different activities were planned every night. Glad that breakfast was included.

Disliked: The beds were a bid hard and there should have been more than 2 toilets and 3 showers on one floor.

Liked: The location was very nice. Near the Columbia University and near one of the Main Subway Lines. Took me 30 minutes do drive downtown manhatten.

Disliked: The rooms are little bit to small and the Air Conditioning had to be used extensivley. So the it was always very loud in the room. Also the bath rooms could use some space to live luggage or stuff not actually used wile showering. Had to leave my towel and underwear on the wet bathroom floor.

Liked: WE RESERVED IN A TWIN BED ROOM FOR 5 NOIGHTS AND WHEN WE ARRIVED THEY DIDNT HAVE OUR REQUIREMENT SO WE HAD TO STAY THE FIRST NIGHT IN A HORRIBLE ROOM,THE DAY AFTER WE COULD STAY IN THE ROOM WE HAD BOOKED,THANKS TO ONE GUY OF THE STAFF,CARLOS ROSARIO,THE ONLY ONE REALLY KIND AND EFFECTIVE OF THE HOSTEL AND WE MET ABOUT 5!......ANOTHER NIGHT WE COULDN´T ENTER AT THE ROOM,LOCATED IN ANOTHER BUILDING,AND I HAVE TO GO TO THE MAIN BUILDING 4 TIMES!! UNTIL I GOT SOMEONE CAME WITH ME TO FIX THE DOOR!!...ANNOYING!.....THE HOSTEL IS OK BUT NOTHING MORE!..VERY CLEAN!! AND THE LOCATION IS GOOD AN QUIET!...THE BEDS ARE CONFORTABLE!!.....BUT FOR THE PRICE IT COULD BE MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!

Liked: Location and price ok.I've stayed at a 12 bed dorm. Very small rooms. Very small lockers in the room. No female bathroom on first floor. Hostel has much more potential to be fun. Terraces could be cosy with a bit of music, a bit of light, organise a BBQ! Now nobody was using it !

Liked: You get just a bit less what you expect for the money. Some weird mistakes with reservations and dirty toilets should be improved. It could be a very good hostel but the management has to start running it better

Liked: Good hostel, a bit noisy in the morning and the breakfast is not very exciting... but still a good place for cheap place with security and nice staff

Liked: The hostel messed up my reservation and when I arrived, I was told that I was only booked for the first two nights of my reservation. I had to find other accommodation on my own for the rest of my stay. The staff was not very sympathetic.

Liked: The hostel is a good value for the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an elevador. So, guests walked up several flights of stairs carrying heavy suitcases.

Liked: There Ain't a lot missing to that hostel to make it perfectThey should really consider fixing the room's door. There ain't no other way to close them then slamming them. You feel very bad when you come back at 4 in the morning and wake every one up because of that. We had to let it open at night. This affects the security points.Some of the staff are just close to idiots. One couldn't give me back the 5% he charged me over cause he forgot to ask if i had ISIC card. Even though I made the remark 2 seconds after he printed the bill. The same guy forgot to give me the card i needed to access the stairs to go to my room. He also forgot to do it with some of my friend. To the question ''is there a grocery store around'' he responded ''it's too late right now come back tomorrow I don't feel like telling you now''. Some friend i met there got kinda bullied for being french by some italians because of the french italian futbol rivalry. That pissed me off. one of my female friend was refused enter to the second building wherre she was supposed to meet with friends even though she had a room in the first one. She told the employee there to ask if her friends knew her. he wouldn't, sticking to the fact he should let nobody in who don't have a room in the building. Very weird considerating the main building doesn't even have a lock system. Another one just couldn't get to his room cause there was nobody at the counter to give her the key to her rooms For some reason, the very low-quality male staff seem very kind with the female clients. They do such a better job at making those specified clients happy they tend to forget about helping the others. I've seen a 3 people lineup waiting after that a gallant explain in long details the way to go to flatiron building. He even went to show the good looking lady on the internet on the opposite side of the room. That took like 30 mins. I guess they can be friendly sometimes.Maybe they thought they were discrete...Otherwise, the puerto-rican guy i unfortunately forgot the name with whom we went pub-crawl was very friendly. He had a great attitude. Ladies working at the desk on daytime too. No sarcasm hereBreakfeast is MINIMAL. no fridge no kitchen. Location his very good, price is great. Activities almost each day. Big hostel, make it easy to meet people from all over the workdweak points are things that can be easily fixed. In the case they do get fix, It would make that hostal close to perfect,So kick those lazy asses out, repair those doors and make it great.
