Customer reviewThe hostel is not really in the best of neighborhoods, but if you want a clean safe and not expensive place to stay then this place is not too bad. I'd recommend it. The hostel was nicely located with the subway only a few building down the street. Being a lone traveller, and pretty much just wanting to see as much of NYC in 2.5 days, I found convenience of subway to and from major stops such as Time Square etc fantastic and easy. The hostel does also have good lounge area with free wifi (if you have your own laptop). Dorm room access by key only and security at door to only allow access to residents. Lockable storage available but they are not big. Overall was satisfied. |

Customer reviewLittle bit far from downtown, but the upper west side area is nice with stores, bars, restaurants if you walk block or two away from central park. and there is l'ortiz grocery store just opposite to the hostel which also serves coffee and sandwiches. Subway stop is near so no problems getting around. Lounge was nice with lots of space. Internet computers didn't work wery well every time, but did their job. Maybe it was because there were so many people using the wlan. |

Customer reviewWe liked that there were a guard on at all times so nobody but people who stayed at the place could enter. The free WiFi in the Lounge were nice too. Close to a Subway station and the Central Park. |

Mark SchulzA clean, safe bed in Manhattan for US$30/night (6 bunk room.) It's exactly what I was looking for, and I'd stay there again. (Small note: You must pay in US cash upfront on check in.) |

Rachel JonesI loved the clean rooms, the friendly staff and how close it was to the subway station, it was easy to get anywhere only a bit of a distance. I would stay here again despite the location as I thought it was brilliant value for money, there was a special key for a ladies only bathroom (fantastic showers) and the other hostel people were great fun. |

Antoine GervaisConsidering the price, an excellent option. The train station is right down the corner, the dorm was spacy enough and the sheets were clean, the air conditionning was operational, the showers were clean and pressure was sufficient, and the staff was helpful albeit in NY style. Security wise, the area is not dangerous, access to the building is controlled day and night, you can't enter your dorm without a key, and you can leave whatever important document safely at the reception for the duration of your stay. Check-out is at noon, but in case you need it, you can leave your luggages stored until 10 pm. All in all, a very satisfying choice at this level, I would gladly come back or recommend it.. |
