28 October 2009	Customer review The hotel is great located (close to the empire state building) and the atmosphere in the hotel is quite nice. But there are some very annoying things: You have to reload your keycard for the room every day; if you are lucky and get one of the rear locker, you always have to ask the staff to open the locker and there is just one bathroom in a 10 bed dorm... Good for one or two nights, but not more!	72%

03 August 2009	Annmaree Bancroft I cannot believe people would give this place a bad rating. Between visiting NYC three times and living there for 3 months another time, I think I can give a pretty secure opinion on this place and I thought it was fantastic. Sure, the air-con makes noise, big deal, I met lots of great people in my room, and we went out for dinner and clubbing too. The location is sooooo good!!! I will recommend this place to all my friends, and definately stay there again when I return to NYC. PS the lobby area is awesome.	100%

27 April 2009	Customer review great location in midtown, funky deco, coolest looking building in nyc! cool that bands often come into lobby for night gigs, friendly staff (which is great in a big city) although concierge were a bit grumpy and not that helpful. Was cheap given the rate of other hotels and its location. If you're staying in a dorm, ask for dorm 233 as it is much more spacious than the adjacent 236. clean rooms and bathrooms, given towels and soap. No lockers though and they allow locals to stay (which takes away the fellow traveller respect). also they have wifi but it is $10 for a day! is more of a hotel than hostel--there is no real communal area. i will go back there again.	80%

04 November 2008	/Virginia Pratt Staff was fun and so willing to help when needed. Found our bedroom and bathroom nice and clean, beds comfortable, towels fresh and fluffy. Lobby area funky, public restrooms clean, pretty comfortable seating areas. Location central to Manhattan, walking distance to main attractions and close to bus and subway service. Loved it!
