Real hostel with a common room, guest kitchen with free tea/coffeee, oatmeal, etc., local travel info, lovely porch and the cleanest, best maintained hostel I've seen in the US. Great experience. I'll be back!

Overview

An economical hostel in New Paltz close to the bus station where guests can catch the bus to New York City attractions. The New Paltz Hostels offers private and dorm room.

The New Paltz Hostel provides an inviting, interesting and fun atmosphere for a price which is fair and reasonable for all.

Our Room - $30 (includes tax) per night COED DORM ROOM BED (6 beds in room) ** CURFEW OF 10:00 PM **STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR DORM ROOM ONLY ****NO KEY GIVEN****

Private rooms are available @ $80 per night for 2 people and a key is given and there is no curfew for private rooms

We are open year round
The usual stay at the hostel is between one and five days, dependent on the schedules of our guests. The maximum stay is limited to two weeks.

We have a fully equipped, self-service kitchen, internet access, coin-operated laundry, a pleasant and interesting staff, and most importantly, a degree of community and human interaction not found in more traditional "motel" or "hotel" facilities.

Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are not allowed within the Hostel proper. We welcome travellers from around the world, in an environment where all ages can enjoy the fun.

Accommodation Information

The Hostel offers shared accommodation as well as private rooms. All linen is provided and the rooms are clean, comfortable and fun.

Location Information

We are located on Main Street near downtown New Paltz, and are next door to the local bus station which features fifteen daily trips to and from New York City.

We are also within walking distance of many area attractions, such as the State University of New York at New Paltz, historic Huguenot Street (the "Oldest street in America"), and a bevvy of fine eateries and unique shops.

We are also a few minutes drive away from world-famous rock-climbing on the Shawangunk Ridge, hiking, mountain-biking, camping, the world-class Mohonk Mountain House and Preserve and the picturesque Minnewaska State Park.

The area surrounding New Paltz also features many family-oriented activities including minor-league baseball at Dutchess Stadium, home of the Hudson Valley Renegades.
