Liked: it was fairly cheap for the time we went, however if wasn't game time, I do not believe it would be such a bargain. It wasn't a bad walk to bourbon street in the day... but at night I wouldn't recommend it. We took a taxi every night and it was about $10 a ride for 3 people. But the staff was very friendly !

Liked: Second time staying here. It's no Mariott, but it's excellent for the money. It also gives you access to places other than the Quarter like the Garden District and close to Uptown.

Liked: The hostel is in very interesting neighborhood. In between the garden and warehouse districts it has a great mix of people and character.

Liked: the staff were helpful and friendly, not noiisey, located on bus route into C.BD andFrench Quarter. Close to restaurants and shops etc.safe area for roaming day and night. Locals friendly and obliging.Magazine Steet location puts the hostel in agood area for meeting local New Orleaners...got to know regullears on last bus back at night!!! bus into F/Q etc goes from Camp Street .Plenty of hot water. Bathrooms well appoiinted. Towels, washers and soap provided!!! Can have room cleaned every day and linen changed just see housekeeper on your floor.Peter has OZ connection his wife is from Armidale n.s.w. this was a good icebreaker .

Liked: The staff was very helpful and friendly at this hostel and the location isn't bad if you have a rental car. The cost was fair though.
