GORKA OSCOZ OCIOStaff are customers were very kind, opened minded, relaxed and warm, I was impressed, all were very friendly. Hostel was near the beach, near restaurants, near a main road and near bus stations, inside there was machines which sold food, there was internet, a kitchen to prepare our food, fridge, washing machine, inside there was information about places to visit, a hall with a big TV to watch games and films together,... Everytime that I asked to staff how to to arrive to a place they explained me it very well, they had on the wall a board with information about which bus to take, where to stop. Staff were very friendly, I talked with them many times, we had long conversations in which we felt close each other. I highly recommend it and in the future I will come back. Customer reviewI don´t like the hostel. It was very untidy, there is weirs people, the manager assitant is very rude and people stole my food when I was outside!! It was horrible! |

Customer reviewHostel California is neither remarkably good, nor remarkably bad. The place is clean, although the bedding and sheets are a bit elderly. The location is not great, being a fair bus ride from anywhere except Venice Beach. It is however, very cheap. |

Eleanor Clarkstayed in 30bed dorm....not good if you want to sleep. each night was woken up about 4 times :( but most people put their blankets up like a fort to block out the light as they generally dont get turned off til midnight. people are also very loud in there after lights out :( staff were pretty friendly...cept for one who looked like he didnt want to be here..... but you can drink wi\hich is good!!! |

Casper FerwerdaVery good hostel. Close to the public transport (including Greyhound): excellent. Building is also fantastic! Bed are basic but ok and there are good (big) lockers with elec plugs. And..pancakes! Yahoo!! Had a nice time here. |

Customer reviewthe outside patio, free wifi, huge tv in the lounge, the 2 bed room is very cosy (despite there are 2 separate beds instead of a queen or king). very simple to get the bus to santa monica (actually even simpler than going to venice beach, which is nearer but with no bus connection - you must have your own car and be ready to pay for the public parkings). I would recommend the place however, it's very nice! |

Customer review30 bed dorms not really the place to meet ppl and mingle, eveyone kept themselves to themselves unless they were already together. not in very good location unless u just wanna go to the beach which is 25 min walk away. no activites at hostel. toilets and showers were in different sides of the hostel. big lounge was good, tv common room. nothing to do here apart from sit n watch tv or have a game of pool. wouldnt stay more than 1 night. not many english ppl. didnt really feel safe leaving my stuff in the room when i wasnt there. |
