Liked: Excellent location right next to Venice Beach.

Disliked: Stayed in a private room in an extremely uncomfortable bed-it almost had springs sticking out of it. The combination of this and the lack of air conditioning made for a very poor nights sleep. There was also only two bathrooms on our floor which always seemed to be occupied.

Liked: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. i liked being able to have our own room (so you got some privicy) but still stay in a hostel and get to meet new people. The directions to and from the airport, stations and local attractions were really useful.

Disliked: Some of the locks on the doors were rather loose, but you could always ask to put small essential valuables in the safe behind the desk. The common room was rather smoky too, which was a shame as it was a really nice room.

Liked: one of the best hostels ive stayed in (and THE best in the US), checkin lady was unbelievably efficient, checkin was a breeze and she never kept me waiting long. seriously, give her a raise, she knows exactly what she is doing. she was american caucasian, <25yrs old.

Liked: We booked a dorm room but were upgraded to a private, which was great. The private rooms were basic but very clean and serviced each day. The hostel was very quiet (and we stayed over a weekend) and is also really secure, you have to buzz to reception to be allowed in through the main door. The location and transport around venice beach is fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and available 24 hours a day.

Liked: Great location 100 meters from the beach!! i had view of the sea from my window. I was upgraded to an en-suite room, which was nice! Noise from the bar downstairs was lil annoying but not big problem...but still clean and bathroom basically brand new

Liked: The people running the place are really friendly and helpful which made the experience the best, rooms are clean but the bathrooms can be dirty. Bit scary in Venice Beach at night so going out from the hostel at these times can be a bit precarious but during the day it is awesome.

Liked: Reasonably good, serviceable hostel in a fantastic location--you're about 90 seconds from the beach. Street parking is free, available within about two blocks of the hostel and seemed easy enough to get (though I was there on a non-summer weekday). The hostel itself and its facilities aren't terribly memorable, and my mattress wasn't terribly comfortable, but the place is definitely good value for the money.Also I STRONGLY recommend the Townhouse bar located across the street from the hostel--especially on Wednesday nights.

Liked: Right on Venice Beach. We did the tours from the hostel- picked you up at door and returned you there- tours good. Hostel great, staff helpful and friendly. Facilities good. Right near bus stop to go anywhere else.

Liked: It's a very cool place--not too many people in the dorms, clean, social, amazing location and very friendly staff. Only let down is slightly expensive internet, but hey, can't have everything, right?
