Liked: Overall a good place to stay. The common area is a cool place and people actually hang out there, so it's good to meet people.

Disliked: The dorms of 20 are waaaaay too huge and it isn't in a great part of town, although it is close to LAX.

Liked: The free shuttle to the airport and the size and cleanliness of the rooms

Disliked: The staff were on the cusp of horrible, aggressive unhelpfull and rude. The location was in a dangerous part of the city and places were exceedingly difficult to get to.

Liked: great place, thanks frank and Doug and all the other staff, good free breakfast, nice free cookies, nice free buffet & free drink, backpacker could live here for months on $15 dorm room. popcorn is also good. we are upgraded on 1st day for free from the dorm to a private room with lounge, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. good free 24 hour shuttle, always ready to pick you up at anytime.

Disliked: not much......

Liked: I ll write in English : the staff is very nice, everything is well organized and modern, the mood is great. The rooms are perfectly clean, there s a heated pool, I mean, it s just great.

Disliked: Nothing that I didn t like.

Liked: Near the airport.

Disliked: The room wasnt so clean, the location is good only if u have to go to the airport after, no if u want to visit LA. Water in pool isnt clean also

Liked: It is hardly a hostel, more like a motel, but I think it's really good value for money with a backpacker rate, because there's plenty of space in the dorms, and the free airport shuttle is a PLUS PLUS PLUS!!! Otherwise it's ridiculously expensive to get anywhere from the airport especially late at night. The shuttle will also take you to the nearest metro station (which is only a 20 minute walk).

Disliked: I'd have liked if the staff could have been a little more helpful concerning local transportation or at least had had a map of the routes - considering it's so far from everything. They didn't know anything! I did my own research and besides the metro, there's also quite a few buses that will take you to Hollywood/LA/etc., so it's pretty easy to get around.

Liked: cute girls in the bar! everything you need included & more - free snacks all day, free shuttle to public transport & free daily shuttle to the beach & back. heated pool, cheap drinks at the bar. this place has character as well as characters! good facilities - large lockers available to use for a $1, clean rooms & fresh sheets.

Liked: 1- The price 2- Safe parking lot (altho did it get overcrowded) 3- Comfy bunker bed

Disliked: 1- Location (far from things, but no problems if you have a car!) 2- Only Two toilet to share between 10 in mixed dorm room (tho you get what u pay for!)

Liked: Very nice amosphere, pool, Friendly and very good staff, good shuttle bus service from airport, from metro station. It is very good to stay here for this price.

Liked: the refund for greyhound to union station taxi ride & flyway bus to LAX are real.!! free popcorns are real too.!!

Disliked: although its far away from downtown, they do provide free shuttle services from certain locations, but usually u have to wait quite a bit.

Liked: A warm swimming pool; decent popcorn with good butter taste; free champaign; good beds without crowds of people when I was there; staff willing to be helpful; huge property; close to airport & the pick you up & drive you there, the casino) where there's business relatively close, metro-link, train station, or the beach; local phone usage; Overall pleasant & I'd recommend the place unless you demand 5 star for way under-price.

Disliked: New staff were from out of town & once gave info that proved to be not so; NO free lockers nor free internet (unless you have your computer on you for wi-fi); no dinner/food when needed & other offerings only in selected times; 2 people at desk were very busy to answer all questions; drive was "short" to me once; gruff guest was rude; no real inside common area except for bar & reception area for standing only; even with their 20% off coupon the food seemed overprices (but I didn't order any); the location was further from the airport than I thought so glad I did not walk it, especially since it's in a bad area farther away
