Liked: Free breakfast, dinner wifi. There are computers in the rooms. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic location one street back from the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: the hostel was fine but old fashioned....the waffles in the morning are great...the best thing bout the hostel is free wifi n breakfast and dinner included

Liked: Great location, friendly staff, clean spacious rooms and cozy beds, WiFi in the rooms, best bang for the buck. Recommended to anyone visiting LA / Santa Monica.

Disliked: Nothing to complain about.

Liked: Close to the airport, next to the Venice Beach. Ideal place for the first night for waiting a friend flying from other city...

Disliked: Not very efficient staff... Check in took almost 2 hours and they did not even offer the people to put their luggage in the storage room while waiting.

Disliked: It seemed as if the staff would have no idea about how to check people in. Theire system is too bad and so they haven't had our reservation...we had luck because after about an hour waittime we finally got our room but a lot of people that also had a bedbooked for the night were sent away and they often overbook theire hostel!!!!

Liked: Seconds from the beach, had a great view from the room, very close to public transport, very close to shops, bars, eateries, etc. Room was clean and spacious, the free food was also good!

Disliked: Can be slightly noisy at night, but this is a small price to pay for the location!

Liked: The property has all the facillities you would need. Free internet, WIFI, breakfast is good, the free dinner is pasta or rice, which you have to cook yourself. The rooms are cleaned daily, and despite being a bit old and shabby feel clean. Location is great for Venice beach

Disliked: It is a bit run down. The staff are helpful, but not friendly. I had to pay more than what was described on HB. The location is great for the beach, but miles from Hollywood. It is not a safe area to be out at night time. No AC in the stuffy dorms

Disliked: kitchen selfservice - the expected BREAKFAST AND DINNER was no more than ingrediants like pasta or pancakes stuff . Ok for one day - dishes not very clean

Liked: Great relaxed, chilled out atmosphere, very sociable! Free wifi and internet/PC's in rooms. Breakfast and dinner available along with good cooking facilities, provide all extras condiments etc. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Liked: Computer with internet in the room. Free wi fi. Location next to the beach and pubs. Huge room.

Disliked: If you pay with credit card, theres a recharge. You have to leave a 100 usd deposit when you arrive (they give it back to you when you check out)

Liked: The atmosphere in the hostel was great and the common rooms where a perfect place to meet other travelers. The hostel is in a fantastic location 2 minutes from the beach and heart of Venice.

Disliked: They didnt have my booking on file, but they managed to find me a room. They and a lot of other hostels in Califonia need to update there room allocation systems to the online world and not just bits of paper.

Liked: Venice Beach Hostel is a chilled hostel with everthing you need including breakfast (pancakes) and dinner (pasta or rice) The location is awesome!! Plently of shops and food near by!! There's also BLUE bus's really close, that can take you where ever you want..Santa Monica for just a $1!!! Venice Beach hostel was great I enjoyed my stay very much!!

Disliked: Didnt get to stay longer!!

Liked: the location is terrific

Disliked: 1.the building is not at all maintained, place is doomed to fall apart 2. Management is mildly honest: - my credit card was so called "declined" there because they prefered cash - they "forgot" I already paid an advance on hostelbookers - my booking was originally accepted then cancelled for the last three days - I had to ask to get a receipt 3. There was supposedly an Internet Computer in the room that never worked (was relying on it!)

Liked: Typical youth hostel with plenty of people, character and things to do, both inside and close by.

Disliked: Noisy at night, smoking in the common area

Liked: Everything! Location, free internet, big rooms, quit, safe 24h, ppl, u can cook on yourself or profit from the free breakfast and dinner.

Disliked: Some guest came home late and they were bit noisy, but it calmed down fast!
