Liked: It's close proximity to hollywood blvd, farmers market etc.

Disliked: The accomodation is overpriced for what you get. We flew into LA from Australia and stayed in a 6 person dorm for two nights. After travelling around the US we had another 2 nights in LA before flying back to Australia. We booked accomodation at a motel just down the road where we had our own room with kingsize bed, ensuite, blankets on the bed (at Orbit you only get a sheet) and air conditioning. Breakfast was much better than at Orbit with a choice of cereals. toast, pastries and fresh fruit and the motel even had a pool. The motel was CHEAPER than Orbit and much better in so many ways.

Liked: This is kind of long, but if you're considering staying at Orbit, it's worth the read!I absolutely loved my stay at Orbit! I met so many amazing people during my stay it was unbelievable. I was in an all-girl room with our own bathroom. There are also all-boy rooms, co-ed rooms, and private rooms. You can request the kind of room you want to stay in before you arrive. If you are getting there later in the evening, make sure to call before 6pm and let them know so they'll let you in. The staff is very helpful and really fun to hang out with. They're great if you need anything.I do recommend getting a lock for a locker. The lockers are pretty small, but they're a good size for any valuables. I didn't have any problems with theft, but it's better to be safe.They have social events with the other hostels almost every night. The Banana Bungalow is only a block away from Orbit, so they're in close. You're allowed to use the free internet at Banana as well.There's a comedy night every Monday at Orbit and I highly recommend going if you're there on a Monday! They're hilarious and they sometimes have special well-known guests. It's in walking distance of two Whole Foods, Farmer's Market and The Grove, and Hollywood Blvd is a short bus ride away. It's about a 45-min to an hour walk if you choose to do that. Orbit offers lots of tours that are worth it if you choose to do them.All in all, I completely adored my stay at Orbit. I'm spending my summers in LA and I'm definitely going back to Orbit! I loved it there.

Disliked: The only dislikes I had were that the shower in the room was messed up initially. They fixed it within a few days though, then it was fine. The only other thing was that the hot plates in the kitchen never got hot enough to boil water. They were totally fine for other things, but it was hard to make noodles and such. Aside from that, I loved it.

Liked: I really enjoyed meeting new people from all over the world and finding out about their travels and adventures. It was great to meet like minded people who want to get out there and see the world. The orbit was also comfortable and there were always activities that you could get involved in, nights out with free drink and transport to clubs keeping the residents safe and together. My favorite event was the comedy night on a monday am still laughing my socks off now haha and the staff were also great and always helpful and polite, I would definately stay again and sugest this accomadation to freinds and family, thanks to all the staff and great people at the orbit for making my stay awesum, Cherise Weaver from Liverpool in the UK XXX

Liked: the area is very safe,...very nice and fridnly stuff,...extremely helpful und funny,...big kitchen great space to have your privacy,...rooms are ok some are smal some are good,...the lockers are very smal 1 handbag thats it,...bathroom is in the room very good and clean

Liked: It's an okay Hostel - needs new carpet and bigger lockers thou. Good to just pass out at night in. Need to take buses to most things - they give u a list on checkin which was really helpful.

Liked: the staff here are very friendly and helpful, they make you feel welcome straight away. the hostel offer nights out with people from 2 other hostels with a free shuffle which is perfect for lone travellers who what to meet new people.

Liked: Location is good, free parking available, very basic breakfast and tea&coffee too. However the carpets in rooms were very dirty and smelly, they should be removed asap for health and safety reasons.. also note that there is a $10 charge for 24 hours of wireless Internet!! it is Free in many other places.. and there were some long term stayers (3 months or so) occupying the room with so many luggage and personal items..

Liked: This hostle offered great tours which were perfect for me as i was travelling alone. the staff were helpful too and made sure i felt comfortable in my room. great shopping just down the road!!! cheap in comparison to alot of other hostles in Hollywood and you get free breakkie too so cant complain!!!
