Arriving by Shuttle Bus from Anchorage, Tok, Dawson City, Valdez or Denali National Park?
Alaska Express (Anchorage-Talkeetna-Denali), Alaska Trails (Denali to Fairbanks), , and Alaska Direct (from Whitehorse) will bring you to our door. Simply ask your driver to let you off here.

Arriving by Air at Fairbanks International Airport?
The hostel is located about 10 minutes from the Fairbanks International Airport. Step outside the terminal and you will see taxi's at your service. The one-way fare should be about $16. Unfortunately, at this time there is no city bus serving the Airport.

Arriving by Alaska Railroad?
The best way to get from the Rail Station to the hostel is via city bus or taxi. BY BUS: SEE BELOW.

BY TAXI: Step outside the rail depot and you will see several taxi's at your service. You may also chose to walk across the bridge to 5th Ave. and take the city bus (red or blue line). See below for deails.

Arriving by Alaska State Ferry?
Yes, Fairbanks is several hundred miles from the ocean, BUT if you arrive into Alaska on the Alaska Marine Highway System into Anchorage, Skagway, Haines, Valdez, or Seward there are direct shuttles to Fairbanks (see above).

Arriving by Shuttle Bus ?
Most of the shuttles will bring you directly to our door. Parks Highway Express, Alaska Direct and Alaska Express are just a couple of companies that will bring you directly here. Ask your driver.


ONCE YOU ARE IN FAIRBANKS.....
By City Bus:
From Downtown Fairbanks Bus Depot (located on 5th Ave and Cushman Street) take the RED LINE towards the University. Make sure you ask the Driver to let you off at "Westwood Way". Walk down Westwood one block. We are the very first building on the left. Look for the building with the international flags!
Alternatively, you may take the BLUE LINE ( a longer trip), toward the University of Alaska. Get off at the corner of University Ave. and College Road. Walk down College Road (towards town) about 3/4 of a mile to Westwood Way. We are the first building on the left.

By Taxi :
Simply let your driver know you would like to come to Billie's Backpackers Hostel. They all know where we are!
If they don't you can tell them we are on Mack Blvd.

By Bicycle or by Foot:
Head down College Road towards the University. Look for Westwood Way (about one mile after you pass by the State Fairgrounds). Make a left. We are the first building on the Left. Call if you need directions from where you are at!
