No staff on property wich is a bit weird but great place to meet people. Not many trains to get there during the day, be aware that if you fly out early you'll have to get a cab to the airport

It is in between Dallas and Fort Worth, so good opportunity to visit both cities. On sundays, however, the commuter train does not run so you have to take some busses and that is quite annoying. Also if you want to go out at night you have to take a quite expensive taxi. The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed though and the owner was very friendly.

Possibly one of the strangest hostels I have stayed in. There are no staff on site so it is more like a house share in some ways with the owner only really turning up when new people arrive and call his mobile. The location is way out of Dallas and not very easy to reach on a sunday at all. That said the owner Ivan is very nice and welcoming.

What a unique experience when i first arrived there was no one at the hostel the manager Ivan wasnt on site i had to call him. It is a little eerie as no one is around and you can use all the amenties internet, laundry for free which is great. If you want somewhere to relax and to feel like you in the burbs then i would highly recommend the Irving guesthouse.

This place was a welcome break after the madness of California - quiet and peaceful with not a lot of people about. Not a place to go if you're looking for a party scene but if you want somewhere a little less hectic than the normal hostel I'd definitely recommend this! Close to the railway station (south irving) which has good links to Dallas, Fort Worth and the airpot!

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful with stuff to do and the shower was the best I've had in a hostel! Very cosy feel, just like home. Loved it.

Dont worry if u think the hostel is a bit out of town. It's in a safe area and really easily accessible by train. Great showers, comfortable beds, large kitchen and living area, free internet. A home away from home!

Whilst there aren't many hostels in the Dallas/Fort Worth area I can't think of a better one in terms of location. You can get to everywhere relatively easily, and I think it's preferable to staying in downtown Dallas. Helpfulness of the owner - Ivan - made me particularly welcome even though I arrived at 6.30am on Sunday morning.
