Liked: Nice neighbourhood. While the owner was hardly there, he was friendly when I did see him. Location is handy to the train station that takes you to downtown Dallas. Convenience store right across the road from the hostel.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, free Internet (not only wifi at most places, even a PC), clean with free bedlinen and towels. You live in a house so it feels more like home! Would stay here again and I would recommend it too others!

Liked: It has a very familiar atmosphere. Ivan is a very friendly and helpful host. It is a good place to meet people from different countries. Good beds!

Liked: Ivan, the owner is very hospitable, friendly and uncomplicated. He is interested in his guests and really helps you to get to know the city - he even gave me a ride one time! The standard of the hostel is o.k., you have free Internet access (also wireless) an telephone, can do laundry, and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome - no matter of which daytime you come.

Liked: Ivan the owner extremely helpful. I arrived at 8.00am not having a reservation - which was no problem, i was let in immediately and given the rundown on all the things to do in the surrounding areas. Plenty of local attraction leaflets in hostel.Free washer, dryer, internet, phone and plenty of channels on tv.

Liked: I could meet 2 American guys. They were very kind, took me to go sightseeing in Dallas by car, cooked for me.I'm very happy to see this guys.Hostel is like a home. very comfortable for staying!

Liked: Effort of an owner's to give customers great service.Even, he bought us a router right away, when we asked for a router for wireless.

Liked: kitchen facility is very comprehensive. I cooked every day, which saved me quite some money. there are also a lot of free maps, bus maps/time tables, leaflets of attractions and the hostel keeper also gave me a suggestions on what to do here. There are not many hostels in Dallas. In terms of price performance, I must say that Irving backpackers stop is quite good.

Liked: Ivan the owner is a real decent bloke willing to help you out. Furthermore, the hostel is currently being refurbished with many imporvement s being made, seems like it has much potential.
